Last Friday marked the end of an unforgettable 8-year chapter at Walmart as a Principal Software Engineer.
Looking back, these 8 years have been quite a ride. I got to work on some really heavy engineering problems, whether it was scaling our core systems to handle crazy peak loads under 10 milliseconds, making sure systems stayed up during critical outages, or turning new ideas into tech patents.
Taking a massive re-architecture project and seeing it fully completed before leaving was the best way to wrap things up. Solving such complex problems was definitely challenging, but working with this team made the journey truly fun.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made these years so memorable.
rajan s "Thank you" would be an understatement for what I feel. You have been a mentor, a well-wisher, and a friend whom I looked up to for guidance and support during rough times. You are a Supply Chain encyclopedia, so it was always easy to brainstorm complex problems with you. I will always remember our late-night chats. I wish all great things to come to you and want to see you as a CTO/CEO down the road.
Maheshwar Ramakrishnan Having you as my product manager and then a Senior Leader for 8 years has been a great experience. Beyond backing me technically, you showed me what great leadership looks like in practice. If I ever step into management down the line, you're exactly the kind of leader I’d want to emulate. Thank you for being a wonderful PM and a trusted mentor.
To all the brilliant engineers, managers, and product partners
