We're partnering with the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution on a brand-new exhibit: Living in the Space Age, now open on the National Mall. This exhibit explores how space technologies have influenced nearly every aspect of life on Earth—from the way we communicate, navigate, and understand our planet to the innovations shaping our future. Collaborating with the Smithsonian to help bring this story to life is an incredible opportunity for us to highlight the heritage, innovation, and people driving progress in aerospace and defense.

RTX is advancing the future of flight by pioneering hybrid-electric propulsion technology, an important pathway toward improving fuel efficiency and performance across a range of future aircraft platforms. H55’s delivery of certification-grade propulsion battery modules marks an important step for the RTX Hybrid-Electric Flight Demonstrator program, which targets up to 30% improved fuel efficiency for a regional aircraft mission, and builds on Pratt & Whitney Canada’s propulsion expertise and Collins Aerospace’s electrical systems capabilities, with aircraft modification and integration activities supported by AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc.

This delivery represents much more than hardware. It demonstrates that certification-grade electric propulsion systems can now move from development into industrial execution and commercial aerospace programs. With more than 2,000 flight hours accumulated across multiple aircraft programs — and zero battery-related incidents — safety remains at the core of everything we build. Earlier this year, H55 also became the first company in the industry to complete regulator-required propulsion battery certification testing. Today's milestone builds on that foundation. 🌱⚡ Hybrid-electric aviation is no longer a future concept. It is taking shape now — and we are proud to help make it fly. 📖 Read the full press release to learn more about this milestone and what it means for the future of hybrid-electric aviation: https://lnkd.in/ewTWRuqa #HybridElectric #Aviation #Aerospace #ElectricFlight #Innovation #Sustainability #FlightTesting #H55

Behind every system RTX delivers are people thinking about the service members who rely on them every day. Whether it’s Collins Aerospace’s next-generation ejection seats helping protect pilots in critical moments, Pratt & Whitney providing safe, reliable propulsion for fighter pilots or Raytheon’s Phalanx intercepting an incoming threat seconds before impact and helping save more than 300 lives, teams across RTX are focused on delivering trusted capabilities that perform when needed most. Many employees have personally served, are veterans, or have family and friends in uniform. That mission is personal and drives the commitment to build reliable systems designed to help protect those who serve.
