Mark DiGiovanni shared thisMark DiGiovanni shared thisToo often, we label individuals as "lazy" or "unmotivated" because of their disloyalty to their job. Instead, we need to be looking toward their leadership; it is their responsibility to curate an environment in which their employees feel inspired, safe and fulfilled. Without supportive leadership, we cannot expect employees to be dedicated to furthering the cause of their work.

Johnathan's vision of using technology to encourage students to compete on success building habits like homework completion, attendance and volunteering could be transformational in the #Edtech #Industry. Our mobile and product teams at Capital One have been helping deliver that vision by working with #TeamExcel to build the tools and get them in the hands of the students who need them. Mark DiGiovanni liked thisMark DiGiovanni liked thisIn 2011, I pitched a top securities attorney in New York on democratizing investing. After hearing me list all of the ways I believed retail investors were disadvantaged by the financial system, he just looked at me and said: “Why would you bother with the little guy?” Today, 15 later, we’re listing the Fundrise Innovation Fund on the NYSE under the ticker VCX. The financial system has a structural problem that most people can feel but few can name. The most valuable private technology companies are worth hundreds of billions, even over a trillion dollars, and they’ve never gone public. The wealth creation that used to flow through public markets—enabling everyone to participate—now happens behind a wall that excludes everyday investors. AI compounds the urgency. The companies building the most transformative technology in a generation are growing at rates we’ve never seen before, and the gap between who owns that growth and who benefits from it widens every quarter. We started working on the Fundrise Innovation Fund in 2021 to test whether a public venture capital fund could work. Over 100,000 investors now own a portfolio concentrated in the leading private AI and technology companies, making VCX one of the largest funds of its kind to ever list on a major exchange. No accredited investor requirement. Now available in any brokerage account. When that attorney asked me why I’d bother with the little guy, I told him: because they’re getting screwed! But I believe today marks another step in building a better financial system for the individual investor. Onward

Mark DiGiovanni reacted on thisMark DiGiovanni reacted on thisI'm officially a vibe coder. And honestly? It's equal parts terrifying and exhilarating. Here's the backstory. I'm Type 2 Diabetic. With the right diet and exercise, I can stay in the pre-diabetic range — so what I eat and drink actually matters. I'm also a devoted Starbucks regular who got genuinely excited when they launched their protein drinks. For weeks, I ordered their "sugar-free" protein lattes feeling great about the choice. Then I looked closer. Around 10g of sugar per drink. Not terrible -- but not sugar-free either. The culprit? The milk. One of coffee's most overlooked hidden sugar traps. That small frustration turned into a bigger question: why is it so hard to know what's actually in your coffee order? Not the obvious stuff -- frozen drinks, frappuccinos -- but everyday lattes, cold brews, and flavored drinks with different milks. The major chains' apps don't make this easy to figure out, especially mid-order at the counter. So I did what product managers do. I started asking questions -- to Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant. Questions about menus, milks, sugar content, ordering hacks. The answers were genuinely useful, not just for me but potentially for anyone managing diabetes, eating keto, or just trying to cut sugar without giving up their daily coffee. Zero Sip is born. ☕ With Claude as my co-pilot, the questions and answers became a single-page web app. The web app became a foundation. And the foundation became Zero Sip -- a React Native iOS app covering Starbucks, Dunkin', and Dutch Bros with curated zero-sugar menus, exact ordering instructions, a sugar calculator, and guides on hidden sugar traps. I'll be honest: I could not have built this without Claude. I'm a product manager, not a developer. But working with AI as a true collaborator -- not just a search engine -- changed what was possible for me. Every bug, every screen, every feature was a conversation. I've shipped apps before -- for companies, for products I've managed. But never for myself. This was the first one. Zero Sip is firmly in MVP territory. This wasn't about building a business or launching a side hustle. It was about finding a real use case and using it as a lens to understand what AI actually makes possible -- and what it means for how I work as a product manager, both in my day job and on personal projects. The answer, it turns out, is a lot. If you're managing your sugar intake and love coffee, it's free on the App Store. And yes, I'd love your feedback. ☕ Download Zero Sip here: https://lnkd.in/eHb3fKZq #VibeCoding #ProductManagement #AI #Claude #Anthropic #ReactNative #IndieApp #TypeTwoDiabetes #SugarFree #BuildInPublic #Starbucks #Dunkin #DutchBros

Found a great video on how AI may impact knowledge workers. My team is using these tools to help improve our planning, design, build and testing capabilities. We are wrestling with using these tools at scale. Making sure we get consistent results is important to us. If anyone in my network has worked through this I would love to hear about your experience. I agree with Nate those that excel at breaking down problems into simple machine readable instructions will have their choice of opportunities. How are you using AI to make your teams more effective? https://lnkd.in/exxHnyP6

Six months ago, Spotnana engineering committed fully to Claude Code and Cursor. Adoption happened quickly and naturally. What surprised us most was a feature released last July in that many developers still haven't discovered: custom sub-agents. When you use ClaudeCode in its default form, you're working with a capable generalist. Custom sub-agents let you create specialists instead. You define them by placing a markdown file in the .claude/agents/ directory with simple YAML frontmatter that sets the agent's name, persona, and allowed tools. Claude then automatically delegates tasks to the appropriate specialist based on context and no manual prompting required. Each sub-agent runs in its own isolated context window, so your main conversation stays clean. The agents are also shareable across projects, which lets institutional knowledge build over time. The biggest challenge we faced was getting routing reliable. When agent descriptions overlap even slightly, Claude struggles to choose the right one. We've learned to make each persona description extremely precise and distinct. Another lesson came the hard way: sub-agents inherit your permission settings by default. I once gave a research-focused agent write access, and it began refactoring code while trying to investigate a bug. One improvement I would love to see is a clear post-session audit log that shows which agent handled which actions and when. Right now, tracing responsibility requires digging through long transcripts, which slows down debugging and makes accountability harder. If you're already using Claude Code (or Cursor with Claude) and haven't tried the /agents feature yet, you're missing out on significant capability. What sub-agents has your team built, and how have they changed your workflow? #ClaudeCode #AICoding #AgenticAI #CursorAI #DeveloperTools

The dev workflow I didn't know I needed 💻 I've been experimenting with pairing Claude AI with Obsidian as a living knowledge base for my app development. It's changed how I build. Here's the setup: 📁 Obsidian vault = single source of truth for architecture, features, APIs, and decisions 🤖 Claude reads the vault = instant context without re-explaining your stack every session No more "let me catch you up." Claude knows the project. We just build. What this unlocks: ✅ Start every AI session with full project context automatically ✅ Feature specs, API docs, and architecture diagrams that actually stay current ✅ A running decision log so you remember why you built things a certain way ✅ Release notes, task backlogs, and templates, all linked and cross-referenced The vault becomes something rare: documentation you actually use. And when Claude helps you build something new? You update the vault. The knowledge compounds over time instead of living in your head or scattered across your folders. #BuildInPublic #AITools #Productivity #AppDevelopment #ObsidianMD #ClaudeAI #DeveloperTools #WorkflowAutomation
