Nate Baker reposted thisNate Baker reposted thisWill OpenAI become the MySpace of AI companies? I don’t know. But I do think there’s a non-zero probability of that future. There’s a famous Jim Collins-ism: “Best is better than first.” Over multiple decades of business history, and across industries, the eventual winner often wasn’t the “first mover.” OpenAI was the first in the AI race. But will it survive (and thrive) in the long term, as the best?

Nate Baker shared thisExcited to share that I’ve joined Manus AI as Enterprise GTM Lead and I can’t wait to get stuck in! A chance meeting at Microsoft Ignite completely changed my perception of the true potential of AI. Like everyone, I had been using LLMs for research, basically a “supercharged Search”. Only an hour into experimenting with Manus I realised I was completely off: It isn’t just about ideas, it’s about execution. Marc Andreessen says AI will be bigger than the Internet; now I see why. It’s on the order of the wheel, the microprocessor, fire. At Manus, our mission isn’t to replace entry level jobs and automate people away. It’s all about extending human reach, creating a future we didn’t believe was possible. We don’t want overachieving AI, we want overachieving Humans. If you’d like to explore what your team can conjure into reality when supported by an army of super-intelligent AI agents, let’s talk. #ManusAI, #AgenticAI, #EnterpriseGTM, #newadventure Michelle Tan Henry Yang Tao Zhang

Nate Baker posted thisDay 1 of (f)unemployment. Expectation: Roll out of bed around 10am, laze around. Hit the gym before a late lunch with wifey. Reality: Wake up naturally at 6 wondering what is happening on the East Coast. Try to check the daily GEDI sales report. Realize I no longer have access. Looks like I might need a couple days to rewire my brain…

Nate Baker shared thisClosing the chapter on my 15 years at Verizon today. I joined the V-team in 2010 looking for stability during the GFC and found not only a career here but so much more. Lifelong friendships, daunting challenges, great opportunities... In many ways I grew up at Verizon, both professionally and personally. Verizon supported my journey from Recruiter to Talent and HR professional, from People Leader to Business Leader. Now it's time for me to evolve again. I'm off to enjoy a week of proper unemployment before starting my new role in agentic AI next week. #ChangeEnergizesUs ;) To my teammates, partners, and customers who made this wild ride fun, laughed when we coulda cried, and had my back - even when it was borderline irresponsible to do so - Thank You. It's been a joy and an honor and I hope our paths cross again soon. Nate Baker posted thisThe 2025 Verizon DBIR Report is HERE! Join us in a deep dive of the most pressing concerns for all of our digital defense. Drawing insights from a wide network of partners and public entities, our 18th publication may just be our best yet. So after 18 years, it's all the same, right? Not quite... What's new? - 15% of employees routinely accessed unapproved generative AI platforms on their corporate devices, increasing the potential risk for data leaks. - 54% of edge device vulnerabilities were fully remediated, but took a median of 32 days to do so. - 30% of breaches where a third party was involved doubled in the past year. Developing a unified cybersecurity posture with partners can help reduce vulnerability. Check out the report for detail on these new trends and more. And if anything raises an eyebrow? Give me a shout. Link in the comments.

Nate Baker shared thisPrivate Wireless Networking... a cool solution looking for a problem? No longer. I spent a lot of 2023 talking to customers about building out their own Private 5G/4G deployments and then hearing all about their awesome Industrial WiFi systems. Which were, indeed, awesome! But not for certain use cases. 2024 was very different and I expect 2025 to be 🚀 🚀 🚀 Private 5G helping F1 teams with their analytics at 233 miles per hour is pretty cool; but honestly, most companies just aren't moving that fast. Instead, they're frustrated with WiFi AP handoff disrupting their autonomous or automated forklifts. Their logistics staff are tired of walking down the row to the "special spot" where their Zebra devices will connect. And they would rather send an unmanned vehicle than a valued employee into their oil field to check on a potentially dangerous situation. Private Wireless / Mobile Networking solves these challenges. And at Verizon we're among the best in the world at delivering on that vision. Verizon has been named a Leader in Gartner’s first-ever, 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Private Mobile Network Services! And we’re the only U.S.-based service provider to be positioned in the Leaders Quadrant. Check out the announcement here https://lnkd.in/gUTTbDRR and the Gartner report here https://lnkd.in/gCaWV-9H for more info. Curious to learn more? Nate Baker reacted on thisNate Baker reacted on thisAI-pilled small businesses are crushing it right now. I hear the questions about enterprise tokenmaxxing ROI, but I spend every day talking to leaders of small teams who are using AI to punch way above their weight. Just in the last few weeks: - The founder of a music services business automated the portfolio analysis reports that his team used to manually create for pitching songwriters and built a custom pricing calculator. His sales reps' conversion jumped to nearly 100% and margins improved since they started using the agent-generated stuff, which is just way better than they could have made before. - An executive at a pediatric health services company put his SEO on autopilot and went from nearly zero organic traffic to top rankings for key terms in his market. Agents generate thousands of optimized pages and the business is growing like a startup now, which means more kids are getting the therapy they need. - The owner of a construction management company built a system that scrapes pool permits and automates contractor outreach. He also built a gamified referral site with a $10k prize (money he would have previously spent on outsourced lead gen) for his community. His revenue is up 10x since he started giving work to agents. All these small teams are using Manus to do more than they could have before. Code isn't just for software engineers anymore. People in music, healthcare, construction, and more are putting it to work. AI deletes bottlenecks for humans and it's awesome. It's true that “The future is already here – it's just not evenly distributed.” We're working on bringing the future to more people. Nate Baker liked thisNate Baker liked thisStill buzzing from OpenAI Founder Day last week! Speaking on behalf of Manus AI was a real honor. Apart from the awesome demos, my biggest takeaway was the huge "imagination gap" — the distance between what most people think they can do with AI and what agents can already pull off today. It was incredible seeing everybody in the room across the stack, from model to apps to deployment, all working together to close that gap. Walked out genuinely excited about pushing the boundaries of AI agents further!

Nate Baker liked thisNate Baker liked thisMe: I don't think there's a bro culture here Colleague: That's because you're a bro Katy Me: 😳 This was one of those interactions that I couldn't stop thinking about I had read a review before I started at this company that mentioned the 'bro culture' A number of months into my role, I was talking to some other execs And that's when the conversation happened Was I a bro? Was I contributing to the supposed 'bro culture' at this company? As an ambitious woman who came up in male-dominated industries, With only male role models And often as the only woman in the room… I had spent years learning and adapting And I unintentionally became 'one of the guys' This was the beginning of a new intention to make sure I was showing up authentically at work (First I had to figure out what that even meant lol) I tell this story because I know that I'm not the only woman who has felt this pressure To fit in. To be 'one of the guys' Because in some ways, we feel as though our careers depend on it And this is why it’s so important to have more diverse representation in leadership So no one feels they can't be their full selves at work We need to stop apologizing for who we are, whether that means: - having kids - not drinking - being an introvert - needing accommodations Once we can truly embrace this, the magic happens ✌💜

Nate Baker reacted on thisNate Baker reacted on thisThe conversation that stuck with me most from Cannes was overheard on the beach. A customer said: "I'm thrilled to hear that Meta is now focused on Enterprise - but I wonder what that means" That's exactly what I spent the week showing them. 30+ client meetings. 4 continents represented. CEOs, CMOs, founders. And after many conversations, here are the four things I'm taking away: 1. The agentic economy is here. Not coming. Here. The brands moving fastest aren't always the biggest (yet!). They're the ones building with AI right now. 2. Conversations > impressions. WhatsApp is becoming the connective tissue between brands and their customers. It's not a channel. It's a relationship. 3. Customers are demanding the companies meet them where they want to interact. It is 2026, make it easy. 4. Speed wins. More than one company asked to start building their agentic solution within a week of our meeting. That's the new bar. The gap between where enterprise customers want to be with AI and what most platforms are delivering is massive. The companies (and the platforms) that close that gap first will own the next era of commerce. What a week. Already thinking about what's next. . . . #CannesLions2026 #AgenticAI #MetaBusinessAgent #BusinessMessaging #Conversations #WhatsApp #FutureOfCommerce #MetaCannes #Leadership
