🚨 Broadcom Reveals $21 Billion Google TPUs Order from Anthropic 🚨 In a major development in the AI hardware space, Broadcom has disclosed that it received a massive $21 billion order from Anthropic for Google’s latest Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). The order includes: 💰 $10B in Q4 2025 💰 An additional $11B for delivery in late 2026 This makes it one of the largest known AI infrastructure deals to date. 🔧 TPUs are custom AI accelerators designed by Google and manufactured by Broadcom. They’re optimized for training and inference of large-scale AI models like Gemini. ⚙️ Anthropic plans to deploy 1 million TPUs, backed by over 1 gigawatt of compute capacity coming online in 2026 — marking one of the largest dedicated AI compute buildouts in the industry. 📦 Broadcom also revealed a staggering $73B backlog in AI product orders, expected to ship over the next 18 months. 🏗️ Other companies exploring or using TPUs include Meta, Apple, Cohere, and Super Safe Intelligence (SSI), the new venture by Ilya Sutskever. 📉 According to SemiAnalysis, Google’s TPU v7 offers up to 30–41% lower total cost of ownership (TCO) compared to NVIDIA’s GB200 and upcoming GB300 platforms — potentially reshaping the AI hardware landscape. Broadcom now counts five major customers for its custom AI chips, with Google and Anthropic confirmed. The rest remain unnamed, but Meta and ByteDance are strong contenders. The AI compute race is heating up — and TPUs are becoming a serious contender in the battle for efficiency, scale, and performance. #superintelligencenews #superintelligencenewsletter #AI #TPU #Broadcom #Anthropic #GoogleCloud #Semiconductors #AIInfrastructure #MachineLearning #NVIDIA #GenerativeAI #DataCenters #TechNews

OpenAI just dropped a deal with Broadcom for custom AI chips. Here's what nobody's talking about: → OpenAI + Broadcom building custom accelerators. Product rollouts targeted late 2025–2026. → OpenAI also flagged work with Arm/SoftBank on CPUs. This is a full-stack hardware push. → Not being said: matching Nvidia's software ecosystem and performance will still take years and big spend. Not gonna lie, this surprised me. Here's the thing: cheaper AI for customers is possible, but so is new supplier politics. Game changer or new vendor lock-in? 👇 #OpenAI #Broadcom #Nvidia #AIChips

Synopsys CEO Sassine Ghazi said the Nvidia investment provides “optionality” as Synopsys adapts its tools to GPUs, emphasising there is “no intention or commitment to use that $2 billion to purchase Nvidia GPUs.”
