Sudhakar Jukanti shared thisEvery revenue organization is making AI design choices right now, whether deliberately or by default. Three of those choices will shape everything else: 1) Does intelligence become infrastructure you own, or a feature you rent inside every tool in your stack? 2) Which decisions can you delegate to AI, and which ones still require human judgment and accountability? 3) When a small team with AI can build what once required a vendor, how does that change the build vs buy equation? I spend my days on these questions at Anyscale. Revenue organizations that get these foundations right early will compound that advantage for years. On Aug 28 at 2 PM PST, I'm joining the GTM Council briefing on first principles of building an AI-native revenue organization, alongside Mark Deacon and Chris Schwass, with Amrutha Suresh moderating. We'll each share what we're learning from doing this work inside real companies. Sudhakar Jukanti reposted thisSudhakar Jukanti reposted thisRay Summit is less than one month away! 🤯 ‼️ Last week, Jensen Huang used his first-ever X post to share a letter — signed by 70+ companies (and growing) on why an open AI ecosystem matters. An open model is an important component to that, but so is your ability to train, adapt, and run it. If the model is open but the compute layer underneath is proprietary, you've just traded one lock-in for another. That's why the AI Compute Engine has to be open source too; and that's Ray. Sure, I sell a commercial platform at Anyscale, but it only succeeds because of the vibrancy and growth of the Ray community. It's even more fitting that two of the letter's signatories in NVIDIA & Microsoft AI will be at Ray Summit sharing how they use Ray to build their open models. Ray Summit brings together builders, platform leads, executives, and researchers who are training foundation models, constructing multimodal pipelines, and executing reinforcement learning at scale. New this year: the first vLLM Conference at Ray Summit, bringing together the engineers and researchers advancing open, high-performance inference. I've had the privilege of collaborating with some of these talented teams who will be presenting their work at Ray Summit, and I'm especially excited to see two of their leaders take the main stage: Andrew Beam with Lila Sciences and Felix Heide with Torc Robotics. Ray Summit 2026 promises to be even bigger and better than ever before. Check the comments for details. 👇

Sudhakar Jukanti reposted thisSudhakar Jukanti reposted thisRobert Nishihara says “Inference is a subroutine of larger more complex AI pipelines”. This is a very succinct way to understand what is happening in AI right now. AI projects are graduating from custom inference to custom models. The business imperative is shifting from simply lower costs to owning a moat. The moat is the data and the AI learning loop. Learning loops require complex orchestration of rollouts, data, evals, policy updates and more across a heterogeneous compute estate of GPUs and CPUs. Inference is a subroutine in this context. It’s still critical. But a part of a whole that is more complex. For this new era of AI, composability becomes a key aspect without giving up on performance. Ray is the backbone for this era with Ray Serve as the most ergonomic way for developers to compose model serving as a part of the AI learning loop. But that is not an excuse for lower performance. Performance still matters in this context. This is why we have focused on improving Ray Serve performance 4.4x for prefill and 28x for decode stages. We are excited for what this does to unify the disparate parts of the AI learning loop into a single cohesive AI backbone for all your varied workload needs. Sudhakar Jukanti reposted thisSudhakar Jukanti reposted thisOne of the biggest shifts happening in AI right now isn't about model intelligence. It's about control. Over the last two years, APIs have been the fastest path from idea to application. They helped organizations experiment quickly and prove value. But as AI moves deeper into production, many enterprises are running into two realities: (1) The capabilities available to them are increasingly defined by model providers. Recent launches have shown how new limits are being put in place to build differentiated AI systems. (2) The economics become harder to predict. As model providers look to monetize beyond infrastructure costs, organizations face rising per-token costs. For many enterprises, the question is shifting from "How do we use AI?" to “How do we own our AI?” The shift from renting to owning intelligence means controlling where models run, where multimodal data is processed, and how costs scale. Ultimately with the goal of creating a competitive advantage. This is exactly why we're excited about the Anyscale on Azure announcement at Microsoft Build. We're already seeing this transition with companies like Xoople and Wayve. These AI-native organizations were among the first Azure customers to move beyond experimentation and build AI platforms that give them full control over their data, models, and infrastructure. Today, more enterprises are following the same path. Anyscale on Azure, now available to all Azure users is the foundation to that path: https://lnkd.in/gCggHp3EAnyscale Launches on Microsoft Azure as a Native Integration for Enterprises to Build Sovereign AI and Take Control of Variable API CostsAnyscale Launches on Microsoft Azure as a Native Integration for Enterprises to Build Sovereign AI and Take Control of Variable API Costs

Sudhakar Jukanti liked thisI am not much of a "post" kind of person but this is one moment in my career where I felt I needed to mark for later as not just a fond memory, but a pivotal moment in my career. At every turn, every company change, every leadership change, a change in industry, I always walk away with so much more. Especially through the lens of Compensation and Total Rewards where it can be criticized or applauded, a Philosophy that can make or break the trust of the employees, and have a great impact on the culture. I am always super grateful to the companies that gave me the opportunity, the leaders who took a chance on me, and the changes in itself that helped me realize why I love what I do and why I want to continue to do it. This week marks the end of my Confluent journey where I have been for the last 4+ years. My career has gotten increasingly more fun and exciting and Confluent was at the pinnacle (until the next opportunity of course). Thank you for taking a chance on me Cameron Lazek and bringing me into this amazing organization with Jay Kreps vision and leadership. Thank you to all the leaders in the business I've had the opportunity to partner with and more importantly, learn from: Stephen Deasy, Shaun Clowes, Rey Perez, Rohan Sivaram, Stephanie Buscemi and all of your LTs. The leadership team that had such a profound impact on how I now think about Compensation, Rewards, and their importance; and taught me new meanings of the words "impact", "leadership", and "empathy" in the workplace Colleen McCreary (Wheeler), Ashleigh Anderson, Josh Norris, and Sam McLeod, CCP, GRP and the entire People team/People leaders (PBPs, Ops, HRIS, TA). Last but not least, thank you to the most amazing Compensation team to work with day in and day out Jeremy Shortell, Annie Schwiderski, Abhishek Rawat, and Courtney Dunbar. Every single colleague I've had a chance to work with, thank you for your questions, challenges, support, and friendships. Cheers to Confluent's future growth with IBM! As for me, I'm looking to continue my journey where I can continue to use compensation to support your business and talent strategies, create philosophies and programs that are applauded, to build and maintain trust in employees, and create a positive impact on your culture! It's been such a great run! Now bring on the next adventure!

This newly formed unit will focus on translating Meta’s AI leadership into transformative products for developers and businesses. The first wave of AI tremendously changed what individuals could accomplish. Over the next few years, businesses of every size will rebuild how they innovate, sell, and serve customers, and run day to day efficiently using AI. Businesses will be able to reinvent entire workflows: from product development and customer engagement to decision-making and, ultimately, scale Meta has a rare advantage in this transition: advanced AI models, large-scale infrastructure, and agents paired with an ecosystem that already helps millions of advertisers and hundreds of millions of businesses grow and succeed. Bringing those strengths together creates the opportunity to build an entirely new enterprise platform. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead this effort and excited for everything we’ll build with our customers. I want to thank the incredibly talented people I had the privilege of working with at MongoDB. Getting to build the leading modern data platform for the multi-cloud AI era alongside such an exceptional group of people was truly special. It was an absolute honor serving a growing community of MongoDB customers.

Sudhakar Jukanti liked thisSudhakar Jukanti liked thisLast week, after the IBM acquisition, I wrapped up my time at Confluent. Like any job, there are things I look back on with pride and, obviously, always things that could have gone better. It was the first time I had been CPO at an “already” public company, rather than helping two companies go public as CPO. It was my first all-remote company (except COVID times). More importantly, I took this role as a jump back into operating after a side street into venture capital. It reignited my passion for being the HR Lady. HR is highly misunderstood. I joke that it’s the only job on an executive management team that every other leader thinks they can do - as does every other employee in the company. Our work touches almost every aspect of a company, and building the systems and tools that support the management team’s culture is a giant team effort; that teamwork and the opportunity to make an impact really inspire me. We can do things to make somewhere a great place to do work. It’s still work, but we can do our best to create the conditions that help people feel their time and work are valued, that we make an impact for customers, and that we are a workplace people are proud be from. I’m incredibly thankful to Jay Kreps for trusting me with his company and to the leadership team that built a partnership to help lead through this acquisition by IBM - Stephen Deasy , Shaun Clowes, Rebecca Chavez, Stephanie Buscemi , Maddie Chavez, Rohan Sivaram, Ryan Mac Ban. I'm also equally proud of the work I did with my own productivity organization, led by Sam McLeod, CCP, GRP, Josh Norris , Scott Wong , Chanae Alexander, Lauren Clark , Juliet Peniston , Ashleigh Anderson, Brad Michael, and Wooten Schmitz. The entire Confluent team was incredible high talent and will be a jewel in IBM’s portfolio. I’m still not quite ready to retire, and I'm doing the company meet & greets/interviews/dating right now to see what comes next … but I know that even in the age of AI, great people with good judgment matter more than ever, and finding a team that embraces this hypothesis is most important as I figure it out.

The IBM Planning Analytics SaaS version does not allow access for SFTP. The IBM PAoC version included SFTP functionality that made it easy to transfer files programmatically and automate file management workflows. This feature is helpful in uploading large reports, organizing data across multiple folders, or keeping your workspace tidy. The ACG SaaS Uploader is a specialized utility that helps you move files between your local computer and your TM1 cloud environment. It restores the file transfer capabilities you may have lost in the transition to SaaS. This article provides the background on the utility. https://lnkd.in/enFnDyeR The utility, including source code, is available in the ACG GitHub library (link below). https://lnkd.in/eSQX_pCU The bundled executable can be found here https://lnkd.in/eG3rrJEE #ibmplanninganalytics

ERP transformations are old news. And still one of the easiest ways to destroy value. I’ve seen strong strategies stumble because ERP was treated as an IT upgrade, not an operating-model change. The usual failure patterns haven’t changed: No clear business owner Process decisions postponed “until later” Senior leaders delegating the hard calls SIs rewarded for scope, not outcomes The result? Low adoption. Poor data. Performance dips post go-live. What actually matters in ERP transformations: -> One accountable business owner (not IT, not the SI) -> Clear rules on what’s standard vs. local -> Relentless scope discipline -> Incentives tied to adoption and data quality In PE-backed companies, ERP isn’t just a tech project. It’s a leverage point for pricing, working capital, and scale, or a multi-year distraction. Bottom line: ERP doesn’t fail because the software is complex. It fails because organisations avoid hard decisions. --------------------------------------------- The views expressed are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of any firm or organisation.
