From the course: AI Security and Responsible AI Practices by Pearson

Welcome

“

Welcome to the AI Security and Responsible AI Practices video course. My name is Omar Santos. We will start this course with a brief overview of artificial intelligence and traditional machine learning implementations. We will go over generative AI and large language models. Then we will shift gears into the fundamentals of AI and machine learning security and how attackers are using AI to perform attacks. You will also learn about AI systems and infrastructure security. Privacy and ethics are also top of mind for many individuals and organizations. We will discuss privacy and ethics in detail, and we will also provide an overview of the legal and regulatory compliance with AI-related regulations nowadays. Let me briefly introduce myself. I'm an active member of the cybersecurity community, leading several standards and industry-wide initiatives, and I am the author of over 20 books and video courses covering topics such as artificial intelligence security, ethical hacking, incident response, security operations, and governance. I'm a distinguished engineer at Cisco, leading AI security and vulnerability research efforts. Now I would like to pass it to my good friend and co-author Petar for him to introduce himself. Thank you, Omar. My name is Petar Radanliev. I'm a master's project supervisor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford. Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Cambridge, MIT, and Imperial College London. Before finishing my PhD, I worked for 10 years in the cybersecurity sector. And recently, I have co-authored a book with Omar Santos titled Beyond the Algorithm. We have a lot to cover in this module, so let's get on with it.
