So, you have now learned about running containers. And this is as far as we will get. If you want to learn more about managing containers, you should check my Getting Started with Containers video course. We need to know about local container limitations. So what are the limitations? First, there is no protection. If your container goes down, then it's gone. And if your container happens to host a critical application, too bad for you. Local containers don't have any protection. It has no scalability. What does that mean? It means that if your container is a webshop, for instance, and suddenly you have customers rushing to your webshop and it will be totally overloaded, nobody is going to automatically implement more instances of your webshop. Scalability. Also, there is no decoupling. Decoupling, that means that you can run a container independent of anything. Independent of a server, independent of configuration, independent of storage.
