merge-train: pushed a one-file fix to this branch (tests/unit/workspaceSession.spec.js). The four build failures were vitest 5's new clearMocks: true default: mock history is cleared before every test, and clientPortal.js registers its interceptors once at import, so use.mock.calls[0] was empty inside the test body. The spec now captures the registered handlers at module scope and the tests use those — same handlers, same assertions. Full unit suite locally under vitest 5.0.0: 137 files, 3090 tests, green.

merge-train: second push — the re-run build failed on four jsdom specs that landed on dev after this branch forked (portalAgentMemory, portalAgentDecisions, portalSuggestions, portalAgentRole): they shim localStorage with a plain globalThis.localStorage = {…}, and vitest 5's jsdom window exposes it as a getter-only accessor, so the files threw at load. Merged dev into the branch and switched those four to Object.defineProperty(globalThis, 'localStorage', { configurable: true, value: {…} }) — same shim. Locally under vitest 5.0.0 on the merged tree: 243 files / 4477 tests green, vite build clean. Note: because a human pushed to this branch, dependabot-auto-merge no longer fires (github.actor == 'dependabot[bot]'), so this and #2830 need a manual approve + merge once green.

merge-train: third push — #3100 and #2965 landed on dev and both touch src/frontend/package{,-lock}.json, so this went CONFLICTING. Merged dev in (6c9d52fee): package.json takes dev's side with vitest: ^5.0.0 kept; the lockfile is regenerated from this branch's lock with npm install --package-lock-only (npm 10/11 crash with edgesOut when reconciling from dev's lock). Drift vs dev's lock is vitest's own subtree plus in-range transitive patches (vite 8.3.1→8.3.2, rolldown 1.2.11→1.2.12, browserslist/caniuse-lite data). On the merged tree: npm ci, 243 files / 4477 tests green, vite build clean.
