Private AI, running locally.

Noema builds local AI software that keeps models, files, and tools close to the people using them. Our native Apple app runs language and vision models on-device, works with private files, and makes every optional network path visible and controllable.
- Noema — the Apache-licensed community source edition of the native Apple client, built with SwiftUI.
- Noema Atlas — a portable Rust engine and desktop toolkit for verified, multi-source distribution of local model weights.
- Noema website — the source snapshot for noemaai.com, its documentation, model catalog, and Blueprint setup experience.
- Noema 1.5 2B — our compact Apache 2.0 open-weight model for local use, with published evaluation methods and results.
- Local by default. Local chat can run without a cloud service, and off-grid controls can block external HTTP and HTTPS.
- User-controlled connections. Remote providers, web retrieval, and tools are optional paths—not hidden dependencies.
- Verifiable releases. Model weights, downloads, and reported evaluations should be inspectable and reproducible.
- Clear boundaries. Every public repository states its own license, contribution policy, and relationship to Noema's production systems.
Contributions are welcome where a repository's contributing guide says so. Start with an issue, read the local CONTRIBUTING.md and SECURITY.md, and use the private reporting path for suspected vulnerabilities.
