Relay for Life of Tampa Florida

Health
10 Hour Event at Florida College. People walked laps in various themes to fight for the battle of cancer. Many were affected by someone they know personally that has cancer. I was DJing the music for the whole night to help get people on fire for Battling Cancer. We raised a lot of money for the Relay for Life of Tampa Florida. It was a great night to be representing the survivors and remembering the fallen victims.

Everyone's focused on how good ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 looks. And it does look insane — Sora-level quality with multi-image storyboard control, at ~10 cents per clip. But as someone who works on AI accelerator infrastructure, I can't stop thinking about what's underneath. Video generation is the heaviest inference workload in production AI. Every second of output chews through massive GPU compute. Getting the model to this quality level is a breakthrough. Getting the serving cost this low is a *separate* breakthrough. You need both to win. The best model nobody can afford to run is a research paper. The cheapest inference with bad output is a toy. Seedance 2.0 nailed both simultaneously — and that's what makes it dangerous for competitors. The AI video race looks like a model quality competition on the surface. Underneath, it's an infrastructure efficiency competition. And those are much harder to copy.
