Years ago, our startup, InfoGear, created what we called the iPhone, nearly a decade before Apple did. I sat on Israeli primetime holding it and practically beaming, telling the anchor this was how people would use the internet in the future. The name changed hands more than once after that, and in 1998, we sold the company to Cisco, which is ultimately where Apple got the name. I don't think about the device itself much anymore. I think about the long nights the team put into it, and about selling the company before the world was ready for what we'd actually built. That felt like success at the time. Looking back, it was also the moment the dream ended. We had the idea a decade early, and a decade is a long time to hold onto something before the market is ready to want it. This clip surfaced in my feed last week, the same week I sat with founders certain their timing is right. Some of them are probably a decade early too. My role in that story is helping them make peace with what being early actually costs. #Founders #Startups #CompanyBuilding #IsraeliTech

BIG NEWS! I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Anaconda as storyteller-in-chief, heading up Product Marketing, DevRel, and Analyst Relations. And there is one heck of a story to tell!!! Just look at the scale: ➡️ 55M+ Anaconda users ➡️ 5M+ Kilo developers ➡️ 95% of the Fortune 500 ➡️ 10T+ AI tokens consumed every month ➡️ Strategic partnerships with NVIDIA, Microsoft, AWS, Snowflake, OpenAI and more Those numbers are incredible. But what really drew me to Anaconda is what we can build on top of that foundation. Many of you may know Anaconda as the trusted source for python packages for more than a decade. But now it is so much more! AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built. Developers are working with agents, models, packages, MCPs, and an exploding ecosystem of tools and infrastructure. Enterprises want that same speed and freedom while maintaining the trust, security, governance, and control required for business-critical AI. Anaconda has an incredible opportunity to bring those worlds together: developer freedom and enterprise control on a trusted foundation. As enterprises build their own AI Dev Factories, they need the freedom to choose the right models, tools, and infrastructure for each workload. We’re helping make that possible with trusted AI artifacts, productive AI workspaces, security and guardrails, and repeatable orchestration from development through production. That’s a story I’m incredibly excited to help tell. A huge thank you to David DeSanto, Derek E. Weeks, Jane Kim, Laura Sellers, and Vanessa MacIlwaine, PHR-CA for the conversations, confidence, and warm welcome that brought me here. And to the entire Anaconda team for making my first days such an exciting ride. We have a lot to build, a lot to tell, and a lot more coming soon. Let’s go!

Every platform shift I've lived through ended the same way: the tool that owned the workflow got rebuilt around the new operator. Cloud did it to infrastructure, and I lived it at GitHub, where the pull request became the place software gets built. Now it's happening to security operations, and most of the industry is answering with a chat box on top of the same old plumbing. Jordan Segall and I spent years at Redpoint looking for the team that would rebuild it instead. Shay Sandler and Eli Rozen at Vega were building for agents before most buyers had a budget line for them: a way to work on all of your data without moving it first, at a cost that doesn't punish you for keeping it. Vega II is live today. The release (link in comments) has the details; what I see is this company becoming the system the defenders of the next decade run on. Amazing to see how quickly the team has executed towards this vision - love it when a company is even further ahead of schedule than expected. Shay Sandler, Eli Rozen, Yonni Shelmerdine, and everyone at Vega: onwards and upwards. Great to be on this journey with Andrei Brasoveanu, James Green, Gili Raanan, and Lior Simon. 🚀

One of my favorite things is meeting someone for the first time and realizing… they already kind of know me. Maybe they’ve seen me running around a security conference, know about my PEZ collection, or have been following Pluto for a while. Either way, the first conversation somehow doesn’t really feel like a first conversation. And THAT is exactly why I believe so much in personal brand. There’s a common idea that personal branding is somehow more natural in B2C. It’s fun, personal, maybe even a little too consumer-y for B2B. But I’ve never really understood that distinction. Yes, B2B and B2C buying processes are different. The stakes can be different, the number of people involved can be different, and the sales cycle can be very different. But there’s one thing they have in common: a person is buying. And that person doesn’t suddenly stop being human because they’re sitting in a procurement meeting. B2B buyers still build trust. They still form impressions. They still remember people they’ve met, stories they’ve heard, and companies that made them feel something. A buying decision might be rationalized at the end, but the process of getting there is still deeply personal. So why should marketing feel so fundamentally different in both? Why should B2C get all the fun, creative, honest stuff? For me, building my personal brand alongside Pluto’s means letting people see what’s beneath the surface- what we’re building, what I’m learning, where I’m going, the people I meet, the things I’m thinking about… and sometimes it’s completely random stuff too 😅 You can build a serious company in a VERY serious industry and still have a personality. Actually, I think you should. Don’t overlook the way it can make your business grow. In the video: Me and my cast Rocking cyber world 3 months ago :)
