IVC Data and Insights
We know where the money is going in Israeli tech. But a ten-year view also shows where it is no longer going. According to H1/2026 Tech Review by IVC Data and Insights and LeumiTech, Cyber and enterprise software together attracted 67.3% of the total capital raised. Add Defense, Space & Quantum, and Semiconductors, and these four fields account for 86.8% of total funding. The shift becomes clearer when looking at the other side of the chart. In 2016, Life Sciences, FinTech & InsurTech and Automotive together represented 38.2% of capital raised. In H1/2026, their combined share was just 10.5%. Life Sciences declined from 13.7% to 4.7% over the period. FinTech & InsurTech fell from 13.9% to 4.5%, while Automotive, which accounted for 10.6% of capital in 2016, represented just 1.3% in H1/2026. The story is not simply that more capital is flowing to cyber and software. The composition of Israeli tech funding has changed substantially over the past decade, with capital becoming increasingly concentrated in a smaller group of technology fields.
