Harsh Dhand shared thisIt was an absolute pleasure to join our partners at the @GlobalFintechFest 2026 to celebrate two defining milestones in India’s fintech journey. NPCI’s FiMI Banking: Powered by Gemma 4, this is India’s first compact model trained specifically for Indian retail banking. Its agentic capabilities include completing actions for users in a secure environment, further enabling people-centric banking. BharatPe’s Agentic AI: Built with Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform on Google Cloud, this voice-first assistant meets India’s merchants right where they are, in their own language - serving as a trusted daily partner to streamline operations and unlock business growth. These solutions demonstrate that when AI focuses on local needs, scale and inclusion naturally follow. Many thanks to the teams at National Payments Corporation Of India (NPCI) and BharatPe for including us in your journeys. We can’t wait to see the AI-powered innovations that the Indian ecosystem builds next. #GoogleAI #Gemma #Gemini #FinancialInclusion #GFF2026Harsh Dhand shared thisBanking AI needs to do more than answer questions. It needs to carry out complex tasks in real-world scenarios, and to do so safely. Introducing FiMI Banking: a sovereign, compact model built for Indian retail banking, designed to act within a bank's defined rules rather than simply answer queries. We are open sourcing the research, a curated RL environment in Nvidia's NeMo Gym and the benchmarks, including IndicBank Bench and the Tau Banking Benchmark. These benchmarks measure what a model does: whether it follows the rules, uses the correct tools, handles sensitive interactions appropriately, and achieves the right outcome in banking context. Our goal is a shared foundation that banks, fintechs, researchers and the wider open source community can examine, reproduce and improve. Grateful to Nitin Mishra, Executive Director - NPCI; Vishal Kanvaty, CTO, NPCI; Shri Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director, South Asia, NVIDIA India and Prashant Devadiga, Deputy Chief AI and Data Science, NPCI for their guidance and support through this effort. Harsh Dhand shared thisOur DNA is a script made of 3 billion "letters". We share 99.9% of these "letters" with every other human. The remaining 0.1% of single-letter differences makes us unique, but it can also hold the genetic switches for complex diseases. Understanding the biological impact of every possible mutation was once nearly impossible. Today, we're launching AlphaGenome Atlas to make that knowledge more accessible to everyone in the scientific community: The Map: Indexes all 9 billion potential single-letter changes across the 3-billion-letter genomic script. The Access: Transforms an impossible laboratory puzzle into a free reference guide, searchable in any standard web browser. The Impact: Partners like Australia’s Centre for Population Genomics are already using it to advance rare disease research across diverse communities. Harsh Dhand shared thisSuper Summary of my dialogue with Pankaj Rohatgi yesterday at Google IO connect India 2026. thanks to the amazing PSS teams Sumita Kaul Snehal Thorat and many more regional and global teams. #GoogleIOConnect.Harsh Dhand shared thisAt #GoogleIOConnect, we shared new initiatives to help developers build, deploy, and scale agentic AI with security at the core. goo.gle/4aQbdxo Here's what's new: 🛡️ Sec-Gemini v3: Our specialized cybersecurity agent can reason across complex security data to help security operations teams automate tasks at machine speed. We are bringing this to trusted government and enterprise testers, including Flipkart. 💻 CodeMender: Building on Project Zero's Big Sleep research, this agent takes the next step by automatically writing security fixes and contributing them directly back to open-source projects. 🔒 CAPSEM (Capability-Safe Execution Model): Open-sourced by our Privacy and Security Research team, this secure runtime environment places each AI agent inside an isolated virtual machine to restrict access and protect the wider system. 🤝 Securing interactions between agents: Introducing Device Bound Session Credentials (DBSC), an open W3C standard for more secure sessions, and Agents-to-Payments (AP2), an open protocol for secure, authorized agent-led financial transactions. Together, these initiatives are helping lay the safety foundations for India's agentic future, empowering developers to build AI that is secure, trustworthy, and responsible by design. #BuildWithGemini

Harsh Dhand liked thisHarsh Dhand liked thisAt the start of 2026, one of my main career goals was to get more plugged into the local ecosystem here in the little red dot my family and I now call home. Thanks to Yolyn Ang for pointing me toward the inaugural cohort of SGLN Tech! These past 6 months brought some truly invaluable lessons - from how we show up as leaders during turbulent times to appreciating cultural nuances without letting them bias our approach. While the time and energy investment was real (and occasionally tiring!), it was deeply fulfilling. A big thank you to Nadir Zafar (emeritus), Himmat Singh, Rebecca Raja Kumar, Carolina Yeo and the entire Singapore Leaders Network (SGLN) team for putting together such an impactful journey. More than anything, I’m grateful for the friendships and community built along the way. So glad to have shared the design sprint with my teammates Reena Banyal, YZ Tan, Suryanto Lee, Vinay Jain. Our largest model so far, and our first built on Mixture-of-Experts and Mamba architectures. This release builds on Nemotron 3. Like Apertus, Nemotron makes its pretraining data and full training recipe available alongside its weights. That gives us transparency and a process that can be reproduced. We continued pretraining on 30 to 150 billion tokens, using a data mixture designed for downstream capability. We have now built and implemented an RL-agentic based continuous post-training pipeline: supervised fine-tuning combined with on-policy distillation, with Nemotron 3 Ultra scoring the student model’s live generations. For a single model, that meant ~3,000 concurrent agent instances (scaled dynamically) across more than total 100,000 sessions, all contributing to one training run. 📊 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗘𝗔-𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗠 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 Compared with the base models, scores improved by 𝟰.𝟲𝟴 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝟯𝟬𝗕 and 𝟭𝟰.𝟭𝟰 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟮𝟬𝗕. The gains were largest where the gaps were widest: at 120B, Burmese improved 𝟲.𝟯× and Tamil 𝟮.𝟲×. See the chart for the full picture. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱. Nemotron 3 has real strengths, including openness. But its data mix and tokenizer were not designed for Southeast Asia, and our SEA-LION v4.5 models still score higher overall on SEA-HELM (see leaderboard.sea-lion.ai) This release advances another part of our work: building on 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻, 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, exploring new architectures, and developing how we train models for the region. We will do more, but also look out for our performance line. 🙇 Thank you to NVIDIA especially Christopher Low Verdi March Dr. Deb Goswami for its commitment to open source and collaboration on this release. Harsh Dhand liked thisHarsh Dhand liked thisThe light from a star can take years to reach us. A university ranking works in much the same way. Last week, the ShanghaiRanking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects placed #NTUsg among the world’s top 10 for nine subjects, including first in Artificial Intelligence for the second year running. Much of the work behind our results in AI started in labs and conversations long before AI became the subject everyone wanted to talk about. A ranking captures light that began its journey years earlier. At NTU, that light comes from our people. In AI, NTU scored highest among the leading universities for world-class faculty, a measure that draws on award laureates, highly cited researchers and editors of leading journals. Behind indicators like this are colleagues who chose to tackle hard problems years ago and stayed with them. Even so, rankings are imperfect instruments. They can show us the impact of work already done, but they cannot tell us which of today's ideas will matter most a decade from now. Some of those ideas are taking shape in our labs today. As we pursue #NTU2030, my hope is that we continue to choose the hard problems, give our researchers the room to work on them, and stay with those ideas until their light reaches the world. My congratulations and thanks to everyone at NTU whose work these results reflect. #AIatNTUsg Nanyang Technological University Singapore

Reflections from RSSDI 2025 | Where Science Met Innovation, and Ideas Became Intent Over the past few days, Kochi became the epicenter of India’s diabetes conversation. The 53rd Annual RSSDI Conference wasn’t just an event — it was a mirror reflecting how far we’ve come, and how much farther we can go when medicine, data, and empathy meet on the same stage. From discussions on AI-driven diagnostics, to debates on clinical decision support, to stories of patient-centered innovation, one message stood out clearly — the next era of diabetes care will be built on connected intelligence and collaborative design. Walking through the sessions, one could sense a quiet shift: 🩺 Clinicians wanting tools that understand context, not just data 💡 Hospitals exploring AI that augments care, not replaces it 📊 Policymakers seeking outcomes that are measurable, yet humane At DoctorAssist.AI, this resonates deeply with our purpose — empowering clinicians through meaningful technology that simplifies decisions, not complicates them. Because true innovation isn’t about algorithms; it’s about trust, time, and transformation inside every consultation room. As we return from RSSDI 2025, we carry with us stories — of doctors who dream bigger, of teams who collaborate deeper, and of systems ready to change. The future of diabetes care isn’t in the cloud — it’s in the connection between people and intelligent tools built around their reality. Here’s to reimagining clinical intelligence — responsibly, collaboratively, and impactfully. #RSSDI2025 #HealthcareInnovation #DoctorAssistAI #DigitalHealth #AIinMedicine #DiabetesCare #ClinicalTransformation

Many promising AI solutions stay on the shelf, never reaching the health systems they were meant to support. This is precisely why spaces that highlight real-world implementation matter. Our work on AI-assisted cervical cancer screening was featured in the Compendium on Real-World Impact of AI in Health, developed by IndiaAI Mission and the World Health Organization for the #IndiaAIImpactSummit 2026. Selected from 213 submissions across 16 countries, the compendium highlights the relevance of context-grounded AI solutions built for real health system needs. This work was conducted as part of my International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Research Award and reflects an important step forward for MedNTech. Feb 22, 2026: Clarity in the Midst of Chaos Here are my reflections from India AI Impact Summit 2026! At the summit, amidst 500,000+ participants and global leaders, one question stayed with me as a HealthTech practitioner: can India’s AI ambition truly transform our fragmented healthcare system? What I witnessed over three intense days was not just hype, but direction, sovereign models built for Indian realities, the vision anchoring ethics as infrastructure, national frameworks, and real deployments. I’ve put together my detailed reflections on what this means for innovators, policymakers, investors, researchers, and the healthcare industry and why the next decade will determine whether AI becomes India’s great equaliser.
