Rakesh Kumar shared thisA leader’s real legacy is not the position they hold. It is the people they help rise. Good leaders don’t feel threatened by talented people beneath them. They create space for them to grow, take ownership and eventually lead. Because leadership is not about becoming indispensable. It is about making others capable. When leaders deliberately hold people back to protect their own position, they may protect a title - but organisations often lose their best talent, ideas and future leaders. This thought from a beautiful read by Leadership First captures it perfectly: “The greatest gift of leadership is having a leader who wants you to be successful.” A thought worth reading - and perhaps even more worth reflecting upon. 👉 The Greatest Gift of Leadership: Having a Leader Who Wants You to Be Successful https://lnkd.in/g7WM_S-j #Leadership #LeadershipDevelopment #Mentorship #FutureLeaders #PeopleLeadershipThe Greatest Gift of Leadership: Having a Leader Who Wants You to Be SuccessfulThe Greatest Gift of Leadership: Having a Leader Who Wants You to Be SuccessfulLeadership First

Rakesh Kumar shared thisThe biggest challenge facing business schools today may not be attracting more students. It may be answering a question that has fundamentally changed. Twenty years ago, business schools competed with other business schools. Today, they compete with every other way a working professional can invest in their career. Think about it. A professional with 5–15 years of exp. no longer has just one obvious choice. Today, they can choose: • AI & GenAI certifications • Executive education • Global online programs • Industry certifications • Startup/entrepreneurial experiences • Self-paced learning platforms • Professional communities/networks • One-on-one coaching • Or.. a business school For the first time, business schools are no longer competing only for admissions. They are competing for time, attention, relevance, and career investment. For years, institutions have differentiated themselves through: • Rankings • Accreditation & Approvals • Faculty Profiles • Legacy & Brand Heritage • Curriculum • Flexibility • Placements • Infrastructure These continue to matter. But are they still the primary reasons why an experienced working professional chooses to invest ? Or has the question itself changed? Perhaps today's professional is asking something much simpler.. "Will this institution accelerate my career better than every other option available to me?" If that's the real question, then perhaps business schools - and equally their leadership teams, marketing teams, governing boards and faculty - need to rethink some long-held assumptions. Should success still be measured through: • Impressions • Leads generated • Cost per Lead (CPL) • Applications • Admissions Or should we also ask: • Are we solving a real career problem? • Are we creating differentiated value in an AI-first world? • Are we building capabilities instead of merely delivering content? • Are we communicating career outcomes than institutional features? • Are we building lifelong learning ecosystems or one-time academic programs? I don't claim I have answers. In fact, I believe our entire higher education sector is still searching for them. That's precisely why I'd like to invite the CXOs, CHROs, CEOs, founders, recruiters, business school leaders, faculty, entrepreneurs, alumni & working professionals - to share their perspectives. If you were advising a business school in 2026.. What would your marketing playbook look like? More importantly.. Why should a working professional choose a business school over every other way they could invest in their career? I genuinely believe collective wisdom from this discussion could become far more valuable than any single opinion. I'll be happy to compile meaningful perspectives from this conversation into a "Future of Business School Marketing Playbook" & share it back with all. Let's build it together. Rakesh Kumar shared thisI agree this was a genuine challenge a few years ago - especially before 2020, when delayed follow-ups, disconnected CRMs, and manual lead management were common reasons for campaigns underperforming. Today, AI-powered workflows, CRM automations, instant routing, and intelligent lead scoring have made these operational gaps far less common. Most mature marketing teams can respond to a lead within minutes, not days. The bigger challenge now isn't capturing or even following up with leads - it's the changing way buyers discover, validate, and decide. Whether it's #LinkedIn Ads or #search campaigns, I'm seeing a gradual decline in the qualitative edge of direct lead generation. Buyers no longer move linearly from search → click → form → sales call. Instead, an emerging buying journey looks more like: Discovery → Interest/Intent → Connect → Reference Check → Convert Prospects discover you in one place, validate you through AI tools, communities, peers, reviews, and creators, connect across multiple touchpoints, and only then decide to engage commercially. This evolution is still unfolding. It isn't yet a standardized playbook for marketers - and perhaps it never will be. The journey itself is becoming increasingly dynamic, personalized, and AI-assisted. The winners won't necessarily be the brands with the best lead forms, but those that are present and credible at every stage of this evolving decision-making process.Rakesh Kumar shared thisI ran a marketing agency for 10+ years before going in-house, and here's something I learned the hard way. 👉 Most marketing campaigns don't fail because of bad targeting. They fail because of what happens after the lead comes in. Too often, the campaigns themselves work and leads come in, but they sit in a spreadsheet or in a lead list that the team forgets to check. By the time sales follows up - IF they follow up - the moment has passed. Instead of recognizing that poor follow up is the issue (what’s that old saying? “Time kills all deals”), they blame the campaign. That's why I'm genuinely excited about what LinkedIn for Marketing has built with their Lead Generation Marketing Partners. These partners automatically sync your LinkedIn leads straight into the tools your team already uses - your CRM, your marketing automation platform, whatever's already in your stack. That means: ✅ No more manual exports ✅ No more cold leads because follow-up was slow ✅ Faster action and better conversion The goal is to ensure that if you’re spending on LinkedIn Lead Gen campaigns, you’re also turning those LinkedIn leads into customers. That's the whole idea, and it works. 🎁 New to LinkedIn Ads? You may qualify for $500 in matched ad credit after you connect your account to a partner and launch your first campaign. Rakesh Kumar shared thisThank you #NOVA and Veeam Software for hosting a timely discussion on the future of #AI, #data privacy, and consumer #trust. It was a privilege to share the forum with fellow marketing leaders and data security experts. The exchange of ideas was insightful and thought-provoking. One thought stayed with me: "In the AI era, data may be the fuel, but trust is the real currency." Some perspectives I shared: • AI transparency builds customer trust. • Personalization should create value-not feel like surveillance. • Zero-party data, shared willingly by customers, is the foundation of meaningful engagement. • Ethical AI is essential for building long-term customer relationships. • Today's CMOs are not just growth leaders-they are also trust builders. The discussion also raised an important question: Can AI-led growth be truly sustainable if it comes at the cost of customer trust? Thank you once again to NOVA Alok Ranjan, #Veeam, the organizers, fellow panelists, and everyone who made this a meaningful conversation. Rakesh Kumar liked thisRakesh Kumar liked thisCapital discipline is often spoken about as if it is bad news. Capital has not disappeared. I think that misses what is actually changing. The bar for conviction has gone up. Growth, market size and momentum all matter less if there is no clear answer to the harder question: why will this company win? As an investor, I actually find this shift reassuring. I have spent enough time around founders to know how easily a strong story and a strong business can look similar for a while. The best conversations sit somewhere between ambition and proof. The vision has to be big, but there also has to be something real underneath it: insight, technology, distribution, IP, execution, something that gets stronger with time. AI is only accelerating this. I find myself asking less, “can this be built?” and more, “what becomes harder to copy as everyone gets access to the same tools?” Maybe that is what maturity looks like. The ambition is still there. It just has to be backed by something real. For founders here: if fundraising disappeared from your calendar for the next 12 months, what would you build differently?

At the India AI Summit, a clear shift emerged. AI is no longer confined to boardrooms, labs, or innovation hubs. It is entering districts, MSMEs, classrooms, and public systems. This is not just technological expansion. It is a transition toward participation. From access for a few to relevance for many. The implications are significant: Who gets to use AI Who benefits from it Who is included in shaping it The next phase of this conversation moves to Oxford in April 2026. Because the question is no longer what AI can do. It is who it is reaching. Sunil Savara Pankaj Singh Thakur Entr. Madan Padaki Devashis Dubey Kumar Manjunath Rajesh Bhat Puneet Jetli Rashmi Chandra

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar emphasized that the app "promote[s] offline verification, build[s] a strong ecosystem around it and spread[s] awareness about the features, benefits, and potential of offline Aadhaar verification." The app allows users to manage Aadhaar profiles for up to five family members, supports one-click biometric lock/unlock, and facilitates secure QR code-based verification—all without needing an internet connection. Moreover, Kumar highlighted the broader impact of this innovation in curbing illegal practices surrounding Aadhaar misuse. He noted, "Aadhaar should never be used as a document. It should only be authenticated with the Aadhaar number or verified using QR code. Otherwise, it can be a fake document." These changes signal a fundamental shift from document presentation to secure authentication, safeguarding user privacy and regulatory compliance. For customer experience professionals, this development is a major step forward, offering a reliable, privacy-first identity verification solution that enhances operational efficiency while respecting user control. As more sectors adopt this technology, organizations will benefit from streamlined onboarding and trust-building with their customers. https://lnkd.in/gHz7Eii9 #UIDAI #NewAadhaarApp #DigitalIdentity #PrivacyByDesign #CustomerExperience #OfflineVerification #BiometricSecurity #DataProtection #CXLeadership
