Tarun Goyal shared thisYour guests don’t think in terms of your hotel portfolio. They think about the trip they’re trying to get right. Yet we often ask them to do the matching themselves: compare properties, interpret amenities, and decide which hotel fits their needs. For hotel chains, this is a gap worth examining. Having the right property is only valuable if you can help the guest recognise it. AI voice agents create an opportunity to bring hospitality into that decision—asking the questions a thoughtful reservations colleague would ask, then explaining why a particular property makes sense. That has implications for direct bookings, too. A conversation that helps someone choose gives them a reason to book with you. Hoteliers, what would it take for you to trust AI to recommend the right property to your guests? Also, where do your guests need more guidance today - finding an available room, or choosing the right hotel? https://lnkd.in/gQpxPQpC #HospitalityLeadership #AIinHospitality #HotelTechnology #GuestExperience #DirectBookings

Tarun Goyal reposted thisTarun Goyal reposted thisMeet Siddharth Singh at Arabian Travel Market Arabian Travel Market 2026! ✈️ Our Senior Business Development Manager, Siddharth Singh, is heading to Dubai to meet hoteliers and talk about growing your hotel’s direct bookings. 📍 Dubai World Trade Centre 📅 14–17 September 2026 Every hotel has a website. Want one that generates bookings? Your website should be your No. 1 salesperson - welcoming guests, showcasing what makes your property special, and making it easy to book directly, around the clock. It all starts with a Simplotel website. With hotel websites, booking engines, and digital marketing, we help hotels grow direct bookings, reduce reliance on OTAs, and build stronger guest relationships. If you’re a hotel owner, general manager, or part of a revenue or marketing team, we’d love to hear about your property and your goals. Let’s catch up over coffee at ATM and explore how your website can work harder for your hotel. Message us to arrange a meeting, or reach out: 📩 siddharth.s@simplotel.com 📩 hello@simplotel.com 🌐 [www.simplotel.com](https://www.simplotel.com/) #ArabianTravelMarket #ATM2026 #DirectBookings #HotelMarketing #HospitalityTechnology #Simplotel

Tarun Goyal shared thisA guest can still want your brand - and leave your website anyway. That’s the uncomfortable part. For a hotel chain, the problem is often not lack of inventory. It’s what happens when the guest changes their mind. A different date. A different location. A different property. A different price point. If that means going back, restarting the search, or figuring out the portfolio all over again, the direct-booking journey has already created friction. More than 1 in 2 travellers have abandoned an accommodation booking online because of a bad digital experience. Among Gen Z, it is close to 3 in 4. There is another interesting number: 61% of travellers who eventually booked on a hotel website had also visited an OTA during the same journey. That tells me something important. OTAs are not winning only because of price or reach. They are very good at helping people keep searching. One hotel does not work? Here is another. Wrong location? Change it. Wrong price point? Compare. No availability? Keep going. A large hotel chain already has one thing OTAs need thousands of suppliers to create: Choice. The opportunity is to make that choice feel just as easy to navigate directly. Search across the portfolio. Switch properties without restarting. Recognise returning guests. Surface loyalty benefits. Recommend a better-fit room or add-on. Bring an unfinished booking journey back. Not as separate features. As one continuous direct-booking experience. That is where I think hotel websites are heading. Not just a set of property pages with a “Book Now” button. But a connected direct-booking network for the entire portfolio. At Simplotel, this is exactly the kind of direct-booking problem we spend a lot of time thinking about. If you’re looking at how your hotel website and booking journey could retain more guests direct, we’d be happy to take a look. Talk to Simplotel about your direct-booking journey: https://lnkd.in/gQpxPQpC #HotelMarketing #DirectBookings #HotelTechnology #HotelDistribution #BookingEngine #HotelWebsite #HospitalityTechnology #RevenueManagement

Tarun Goyal shared thisAI in hotels should not start with “What can we automate?” It should start with: “What are our best people still doing manually?” Hotel teams spend a surprising amount of time answering questions that already have answers. But answering the same kinds of questions repeatedly is probably not the best use of an experienced hotel team. This is where I think AI in hospitality becomes genuinely useful. Imagine a guest calling the hotel. An AI voice assistant understands their dates, number of guests and room requirements. It knows detailed information about the property. It answers specific questions in the conversation. And if the guest is ready to book, it can help move that enquiry towards a reservation. The same principle applies across hotel operations. AI can make SOPs easier for staff to access, analyse hundreds of guest reviews for recurring issues, automate routine follow-ups and surface information when teams actually need it. The point is not to put AI into every guest interaction. It is to use AI where people are spending time searching, repeating and remembering, so they have more time for the things technology still cannot replicate well: Judgement. Empathy. Hospitality. That is the lens through which we are increasingly thinking about hospitality technology at Simplotel. Not “How much AI can a hotel use?” But: Where can AI give hotel teams their time back? For hotel GMs and operations leaders, what is the one repetitive task you would automate first? #HospitalityTechnology #HotelOperations #ArtificialIntelligence #HotelTechnology #GuestExperience

Curious to know who else from my network will be at FHRAI. If you’re attending, drop a comment below, would be great for our team to say hello. FHRAI brings together some of the best conversations in hospitality - around how hotels are growing, how guest behaviour is changing, and how we can keep driving more business directly. Website traffic looks good. But direct bookings look better. More direct bookings always start with a Simplotel website.Tarun Goyal shared thisVaranasi, here we come. Let's talk Direct. 👋 The 56th FHRAI Annual Convention begins tomorrow, and Kartik Goyal, Abhijeet Singh and Ujjawal Singh from Simplotel will be there from 21–23 August. FHRAI is always a great opportunity to meet hotel owners, general managers, revenue leaders and hospitality professionals, exchange ideas, and understand what’s changing across the industry. One conversation we’re especially looking forward to having: direct bookings. If a guest has already chosen your hotel, how do you make sure more of that demand converts on your own website? #1 salesperson of your hotel should be your website. More direct bookings always start with a Simplotel website. If you’re attending FHRAI, come say hello. We’d love to hear what’s working for your hotel, what’s getting harder, and share what we’re seeing across hotels as well. Want to catch up? Tarun Goyal shared thisA guest searches your hotel by name on Google. You’ve already won their interest. But have you won the click? This is one part of the hotel booking journey I think deserves more attention. When travellers already have a specific hotel in mind, Google research found that traffic from text ads was 33% higher than organic Search traffic. Across hotel research journeys, paid Search contributed nearly 40% of overall Search traffic. That matters because when someone searches for your hotel by name, there is already intent. But sitting above and around your hotel website on Google can be OTAs competing for that exact click. And once the guest lands on an OTA, they are no longer looking at just your hotel. They are back to comparing alternatives, prices and properties. For hotel owners, general managers and technology leaders, branded Google Search Ads are not just about visibility. They are about protecting high-intent demand and giving the official hotel website a better chance to turn that demand into a direct booking**. At Simplotel, we’ve approached this differently. We fund and manage Google Search Ads campaigns with zero upfront ad spend from the hotel. Hotels pay us only when the ads generate confirmed bookings. 🎯 The goal is simple: bring more high-intent guests to your hotel website and convert more of that intent into direct revenue. And Search visibility is only one part of the journey. If you’d like to understand how your hotel website is performing across visibility, speed, SEO, booking experience and direct-booking readiness, we’ll audit it for you. Get a free hotel website audit: https://www.simplotel.com/ Because getting found matters. But what happens after the guest finds you matters even more. #HotelMarketing #DirectBookings #GoogleAds #HotelTechnology #HospitalityTechnology

Tarun Goyal shared thisA lovely evening in Bengaluru with the GReaT Trails by GRT Hotels team. Nishant Kalra, Vritika singla and I got to spend time with Puneet Dutta, Jit Bose, Ranjith Reddy, Shubhangi Nandagopalan, Ramesh Subramaniyan and many others from the hospitality community. It was great catching up, exchanging perspectives, and having conversations that went well beyond the usual business talk. The food made the evening even more special, with so much of it rooted in culture and tradition. These industry gatherings are always valuable. They bring people together, open up new conversations, and help the hospitality community learn from one another. Tarun Goyal shared thisOne question has stayed with me over the years...... In many of the conversations I've had with hotel owners, the first question has been: "How much does the website cost?" It's a fair question. But I think a more important one often comes much later. "What will this website actually return?" Those are two very different ways to evaluate the same investment. A hotel website isn't just another software purchase. It's one of the few investments that directly influences how guests discover, trust and book your hotel. Over the years, I've seen teams spend weeks comparing licence fees. Far less time is spent asking whether the website will: • Convert more visitors into direct bookings. • Make the booking journey effortless. • Help the hotel team move faster without depending on developers. • Continue delivering value long after it goes live. Price matters. It always will. But in my experience, the cheapest decision and the most profitable decision are often not the same. When you evaluate a hotel website, what's the first metric you look at? #HotelWebsite #DirectBookings #BookingEngine #HotelTechnology #HospitalityTechnology #HotelMarketing #HotelRevenue #RevenueManagement #GuestExperience #Hotelier #Hotels #TravelTechnology #DigitalTransformation #Hospitality #HotelBusiness

Tarun Goyal liked thisTarun Goyal liked thisI bought my first hotel 26 years ago. Since then, I’ve owned 13 hotels across branded, independent, boutique and soft-brand models. Here are eight lessons I learned—some more expensively than others: 1-A full hotel is not necessarily a profitable hotel. 2-Revenue growth means little if NOI does not follow. 3-A brand flag is a tool—not a business strategy. 4-Renovation creates value only when it changes the guest experience or the economics. 5-The same decision can work at one hotel and fail across a portfolio. 6-More data does not automatically produce better decisions. 7-Technology should remove work, not create another system to manage. 8-The value of a hotel is built through thousands of operating decisions—not only when it is bought or sold.

Tarun Goyal liked thisTarun Goyal liked thisFriday was a good day. One of those days that reminds me why I love what I do. It started with a messy, energising debate on the Amazon Great Indian Festival, the whole team leaning in on one question: how do we truly delight our customers when the sale opens on 8th October? I left that room genuinely excited even though we didn't settle the debate. Then I spent the morning preparing for my talk next week at the Amazon India Tech Summit (AmazeInTech 2026). With a little help from Claude and Amazon Quick, it turned into something rare and joyful, I got to spend my time on the ideas and the message, and let the agents handle the rest. The afternoon belonged to the Amazon Now team. We celebrated the launch of our 100th city on #AmazonNow. From Amritsar to Haridwar, and 98 cities in between, all in just 6 months. I could not be prouder of the people who made this happen. I danced into work in the morning and left on a high in the evening. Tonight it is F1 qualifying and a mutton-rice dinner with Tulika, and then two quiet days to recharge. Work-life harmony, in action. How was your Friday?
