Gustav Söderström har delat dettaTry it and let us know what you think!Gustav Söderström har delat dettaFive or so years ago, we noticed our codebase was growing about 7x faster than our engineering headcount. Closing that gap meant investing in infrastructure, not hiring our way out of it. First, we built Fleet Management (learn more about the Fleetshift plugin for Portal here: https://lnkd.in/e9wWP_tD), our system for automating code migrations across thousands of repos, and later Honk, our background coding agent that brought AI into that same pipeline. Along the way, we learned that agents work well when the codebase is consistent, and they perform worse when it isn't. Standardization matters more than any model upgrade. The next gap we noticed was coordination. Engineers running multiple agents across different tools, branches, repos, each with their own custom setup. That's why we built Xirp: a vendor-neutral developer environment for running Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or Codex. It gives your team one place to start and manage agent sessions. And when a developer switches agents mid-project, their context and setup carry over instead of starting from scratch. Connect it to Spotify Portal, and every session also starts with standardized context: what a service depends on, who owns it, why it was built the way it was, and what's changed since. And everything a new session produces feeds back in, so the next one starts smarter than the last. Try Xirp free: https://lnkd.in/eHt67t9j

Gustav Söderström har delat dettaIf you’re not using Claude Code, CoWork, Codex etc yet, but you still want to try out creating your own personal/private podcast and daily brief about anything - including your own private documents - on Spotify, you can now do so with our Studio Desktop app (a Spotify labs feature) - no extra agents or subscription needed. Try it out and see what you think! I find it quite useful. I tend to leave it running constantly on my desktop computer and message it right from within the Spotify mobile app if I have feedback on the brief it made today, want it to include or exclude any topic for tomorrow, or just want it to create a one-off deep dive on any specific topic for me. You can find it in the top right corner of the Spotify desktop app in the markets where we are testing it. It’s early days, so far from perfect yet, but let us know what you think if you try it?Gustav Söderström har delat dettaWe’re introducing Studio by Spotify Labs, a new app that can create personalized podcasts, playlists, and daily audio briefings from a simple prompt. From commute updates to road trip playlists, it’s designed to make listening feel even more personal.

Gustav Söderström har omdelat dettaGustav Söderström har omdelat dettaWe launched so many new features in Q1 of 2026, but one of the ones our Product Marketing Manager Jackie can't get enough of is SongDNA. It’s the feature that maps the full creative web behind your favorite tracks. The writers, producers, collaborators, and beyond, all in one place. Curious where to find it (and how to get the most out of it)? Dive into our latest Quarterly Spotlight.

Gustav Söderström har omdelat dettaGustav Söderström har omdelat dettaThe future of audio just got personal. Spotify just launched a feature that lets you create AI-generated podcasts and import them directly into your library. Write a prompt. Get a podcast. Listen on Spotify. This is bigger than it sounds. For years, we've been passive consumers. You listen to what artists and creators decide to make. Now? You're the creator. Imagine this workflow: You have class notes before an exam. You ask an AI agent to turn them into a podcast. You listen on your commute. You retain more. You have a calendar full of meetings. You ask AI to create a briefing. You listen while you work out. You want to dive deep into a topic. You ask AI to create a personalized deep-dive. Done. This isn't about replacing human creators. It's about democratizing creation itself. The companies winning in the next decade won't be the ones making content for everyone. They'll be the ones enabling everyone to make content for themselves. Spotify gets it. They're not fighting AI. They're building the infrastructure for it. What would you create if you could generate professional-quality audio in seconds? Like and share if you see the potential in AI-powered personalization. #AI #Spotify #Personalization #FutureOfWork #Innovation

Gustav Söderström har delat dettaHey. This one is for all you early adopters out there! Like I’m sure many of you do, every morning an agent preps me for my day - calendar, news, last 24hrs of Slack - in a morning briefing. But mine lands in my Spotify library, so I can listen to it on my commute. Same app, same experience, same everywhere. Many of us at Spotify have been living with this for a while and find it really useful. So today we're opening it up to see if you do too? Now, your agent of choice can create a Personal Podcast and save it directly to your Spotify library. It's private. It's yours. And it plays everywhere Spotify plays. The use cases feel obvious once you have it: for example a morning briefing built from your calendar and inbox. A deep dive on your class notes before an exam. A travel itinerary narrated for your flight. We've always believed Spotify should be the home for all your audio. Music, podcasts, audiobooks – so why not also the things you make for yourself? Try it out with OpenClaw, Claude Code/Co-Work or Codex. Install the Save to Spotify CLI from GitHub on desktop and follow the directions. Describe the Personal Podcast you want to hear and ask your agent to save it to Spotify. It will show up in Your Library. Early, rough around some edges, and genuinely exciting. Try it out and let us know what you think? https://lnkd.in/dihHpn6x

Gustav Söderström har delat dettaAnnouncing ”Verified by Spotify”. With all of the advances in AI, authenticity means something different in 2026. We increasingly hear from fans that they want more confidence in trusting what they find on Spotify. They want to know whether they're discovering an artist pursuing music as a career, playing gigs, connecting with fans — or whether it's a persona, a content farm, or some kind of spam. We have shipped (and continue to build) systems to catch suspicious activity and fight deceptive behavior. But positively verifying what IS authentic also has an important role to play. So today we're starting to roll out something new: a Verified by Spotify badge. When fans see the badge, they'll know the Spotify team has reviewed the artist to confirm sustained active fan interest, compliance with platform rules, and an authentic profile (the artist is who they claim to be). This is a manual process, so we are starting by reviewing hundreds of thousands of artists that represent over 99% of what listeners search for, and will expand to review more artists over time.

Gustav Söderström har delat dettaThis is for all the parents out there - video toggle on your own and your kids accounts! We’ve heard from many of you that Spotify is one of the few apps and places that you feel good about your kids spending time on, in fact, when we survey our users, they say that the time they spend on Spotify is some of the ”lowest regret time on the Internet”. We are of course very proud and happy about this and want to keep it that way. But a common request we’ve heard from both parents and users is that - as more and more music and podcasts today have video - they would like a way to turn that off - for themselves - or for their kids, and just have an audio mode. I’ve spoken recently about how Spotify wants to give back control to users over what and how they consume media, being able to affect their own algorithm and experience. So as part of that control we are now rolling out the ability to turn off video, for yourself and/or for your kids if you want to. This has already been possible for under 13 accounts, but it is now possible for any family plan master account, as well as for any individual user (free or paid). Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dBQNd7Y2

Gustav Söderström har delat dettaThink Spotify’s podcast algorithm isn’t good enough and doesnt understand what you actually want? Well, now you can just build your own! 💚🎧 A while ago we rolled out Prompted Playlists, where you can write your own ”algorithm” for what you want, in plain English. So if you wanted a playlist of ”My favorite genres, but only stuff I never heard before” you can now do that, or ”stuff in my taste that is up and coming but not mainstream yet” or ”songs trending in TV shows right now, and tell me from which show and episode on each track” or why not ”always give me the songs from the latest episode of Landman”? 😉 You can schedule the playlists to update daily, weekly etc to keep you up to date, and you get an explanation for why each track is there. People really love this feature. But a very common request has been why they couldn’t do the same for their podcast…. So now you can! If you want a daily or weekly updating list of podcasts on a certain super niche topic, just ask for it! If you don’t want full episodes, then ask for only chapters instead. If you want any new episode in the last week or month with a certain guest, just ask for it, or why not just ”The recent TBPN clips about Topic X. Or if you’re an AI nerd like me maybe ”Give me the best explanation of the transformers attention mechanism, just relevant chapters” 🤓 It’s a great way to explore the depth and niches of the catalog and also to break out of your own taste if you feel trapped in it, just say ”….only shows I’ve never listened to before” And finally, the one you should all try - just because it’s so fun. ”What are the first tracks I ever listened to on Spotify? Order them from the very first track I ever streamed - with date and time - and keep going.” Give it try!

Gustav Söderström har gillat dettaGustav Söderström har gillat dettaBackstage was Spotify's answer to a decade-long question: how do you get hundreds of teams shipping fast without losing coherence? AI changed the question. Code ships itself now. The risk isn't speed — it's speed without comprehension. Agents working inside systems nobody fully understands, sessions running in parallel with no shared context, changes landing without anyone knowing why a system was built the way it was. Xirp is the next chapter. Model-agnostic — Claude, Gemini, Codex — but that's the table stakes. The real point is context: your org's actual dependencies, decisions, and ownership, kept current and made queryable by both engineers and agents. Backstage was never really about the catalog. It was about making complex systems legible. Xirp continues that work for the agentic era. 👉 https://lnkd.in/g9pmTSJm

Gustav Söderström har reagerat på dettaGustav Söderström har reagerat på dettaEvery creator is being told to go all in on YouTube. We went the other way, and our show now earns 3x on Spotify what it makes on YouTube. For a few months, we ran the podcast playbook everybody recommends: shorter episodes, hacked down to wherever our collective jackrabbit attention span lives now. Our audience didn’t like it. The shorter episodes weren't delivering the deep dive people came to SOLVED for, and when we stopped publishing the PDF guides that go with each episode, listeners asked for those back too. After reading all the feedback, it clicked for us that depth is the product and length is just the container it arrives in. A 4-hour conversation runs 4 hours because the topic demands it. Our mandate is to be the last episode you need to listen to on a topic, ever. If we try to live up to that in 60 minutes, we fail. Every episode is built on weeks of research and dozens of sources before I ever hit “record.” So we rebuilt the SOLVED model around that. Our full episodes—4 to 6 hours—live exclusively on Spotify. The 40 to 60 minute YouTube cuts became the front door: listeners find us there, then come to Spotify for the full experience—and the funnel converts. We joined the Spotify Partner Program earlier this year—this post is part of that partnership—and the numbers have gone ballistic. Audience growth is up 57%, consumption hours are up 32%, and revenue is running at 3x what the show makes on YouTube. Beyond that, listeners on Spotify stay roughly twice as long as they do on YouTube. For us, longform is thriving on Spotify. We read every listener comment on Spotify. It’s consistently some of the most thoughtful feedback we get anywhere, and the format we run now was literally rebuilt in part from what we read in the comment section. This comment from a listener told me we'd made the right call: "I've been saving this (episode) for today and it's so good, it's like eating a tub of ice cream after being on a paleo diet for months." That’s us. Ice cream. But you actually feel good when you’re done with the tub. I’m curious where other creators feel like they’re best connecting with their audience? Let me know in the comments. Gustav Söderström har reagerat på dettaGustav Söderström har reagerat på dettaHe walked into Spotify India when it didn’t exist. Eight years later he runs 70 markets. Amarjit used to work with me at Baazee.com - India’s first ecommerce marketplace. That was the beginning of his career. He’s never been a founder in the traditional sense. But what he’s built might be harder. He was proud of 40 million MAUs at OLX, then he went to China, saw what was being built there, and came back embarrassed. He gave himself one goal: build something at 200 million MAUs. He didn’t know Spotify would be the vehicle. The insight was knowing which game you’re playing before you start. He’d rather own a small slice of a billion-dollar company than the whole of a ten-million-dollar one. That single belief shaped every decision he made. There is more than one way to be a founder. Amarjit has lived that truth better than almost anyone I know. Give it a watch. Full episode in comments. Z47

Reposting this from our collaboration with Accelerated Growth AB At Imvi Labs, we built our platform to improve reading and attention. But over the years we've seen something interesting — users reporting improvements beyond reading. Including athletes in golf, biathlon and racket sports. That's not entirely surprising. Visual processing, binocular coordination and sustained attention matter in many high-performance environments. There's also a growing body of research suggesting structured visual training can influence reaction time and performance under pressure. So together with Accelerated Growth, we are now initiating structured pilots in esports. The focus is simple: standardised measurement. If effects exist, they should be measurable. Appreciate the strategic perspective and structured approach that Jagadeesh Arunachalam and the Accelerated Growth team bring to this exploration. And a genuine credit to Gustaf Vingren on our team — his background in esports has been invaluable in shaping this from the start. More to come. #Esports #VisualTraining #VR #PerformanceDevelopment

Sweden is a global leader in AI adoption 🇸🇪 Around 9% of Swedish firms use AI in production. The number might sound low, but more than 35% of Swedish companies report that they are using AI in some form. It's a huge step from experimenting and using AI in production, we're finally seeing that transition happening. And we’re still incredibly early. As AI models get more capable, I expect these numbers to increase significantly over the next few months.

Help me celebrate these two AI gurus! 🚀 This one isn’t about a feature release. It’s about the two tech magicians behind it: Morten and Mathias. Since our public Zuzana AI launch, they’ve shipped: 🌍 Language Mode 📞 Voice 📩 Instagram (DM + Comments) 🧠 A new and improved helpdesk — with AI everywhere Not as disconnected add-ons. But as extensions of the same core system. ⚡️ Language Mode lets teams respond in any language — without hiring locally. ⚡️ Voice brings structured call flows into the same shared AI brain. ⚡️ Instagram pulls DMs into the exact same operational layer as email and chat. 💖 And the helpdesk ties it all together — AI-assisted replies, full context awareness, smarter automation. Now they’re building the next layer: Deeper cross-channel insights. Not just answering tickets — but understanding patterns across them. Where friction happens. Where volume spikes. Where automation creates real leverage. The ambition isn’t “more channels.” It’s one central source of truth. One shared memory. One orchestration layer across everything. AI for repetition. Humans for empathy. Proud is an understatement. 🤩
