"How do the top fintech apps handle KYC onboarding?" That question usually means a week of screenshots and a Google Doc with 40 tabs open. Not when you give Manus AI access to Mobbin, though. Manus researched Chime, Wise, Revolut, N26, Coinbase, and five more on Mobbin, then came back with an 11-slide deck: annotated teardowns of how each app handles document capture, selfie verification, and liveness checks, with callouts on what works and what doesn't. The last two slides pull it all together: common patterns across the ten apps and recommendations, each linked to the original flow on Mobbin. I could design everything with AI and save hours. But I don’t do it. Here’s why: There are 2 camps right now, and they’re making the same mistake: 1️⃣ People who’ve never designed, now vibe coding screen by screen with AI and thinking that makes them designers 2️⃣ Actual designers quietly convinced their job is about to disappear, because if anyone can prompt a screen, what’s left for them Both are looking at the wrong thing. Generating a screen isn’t a hard skill. The mechanism is simple: open a vibe coding app, write a prompt, something pops up. Anyone can do it. The real skill is everything around it: ↳ What to write to get a good result ↳ And knowing even what good looks like And literally both comes down to having a strong eye. ✅ Knowledge about UI and visual fundamentals ✅ An attention to details to be able to spot an inconsistency ✅ A level of care to every detail Because a good prompt requires a high level of clarity about what you actually want to generate: what colour, spacing, typography etc. And determining what good looks like requires this, experience and contextual knowledge. Some businesses will happily ship a generic AI screen, the same way they tolerated low UX maturity for years. The ones who actually want to win on design and experience will still need designers with strong UI skills. So it’s worth learning UI. The irony is you can learn it with AI, if you use it well. Not to replace your thinking, but to show you real UI patterns. That’s how I use Mobbin MCP ➡️ Try it out here: https://lnkd.in/eEy26Kfr 💬 Tell me what you think about this topic! #Ad #MobbinPartner #UIDesign

35 seats. 600 on the waitlist. Last Monday at Config Jayneil Dalal and I hosted a what perhaps was the largest gathering of AI Design Leaders in one room to ever exist. OpenAI, Figma, Notion, Y Combinator, Vercel, Mobbin + a ton more. the vibe was unreal 📸

AI tools can generate UI quickly. But speed isn’t the same as product judgment. When I’m designing something for real, I’m rarely starting from scratch. I’m looking at competitors, studying patterns, and asking: how have real product teams handled this exact moment? In my newest video, I walk through a simple example first I ask Claude, to design the flow without references. Then I connect Mobbin MCP, so Claude can pull from Mobbin’s library of real app screens and flows before making design suggestions. The difference isn’t just “better AI output.” It’s a better input into the design process. Mobbin MCP doesn’t replace your judgment. You still need to decide what applies to your users, product, and constraints. But it does help you get to more informed directions faster. 🔗 Link to watch the video is in the comments.

Three years in and Detach Instance has not only grown but it keeps getting better. 400+ designers showed up and I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever stop being surprised by that. In an era where everything is async, people still flew in, stayed out late, played claw machines, lost at beer pong, and danced to live jazz. That means something. Tommy Geoco Michael Riddering Ioana Teleanu don’t throw this party because it’s a smart brand move. We throw it because play matters. Human connection matters. Especially right now, when so much of what we do is increasingly happening inside a chat window. None of this happens without our partners: Paper Lovable Spline Mobbin Subframe Thanks for showing up. Thanks for being present. That’s the whole point.
