Ene Corral shared thisIf you spend hours in front of a laptop every day, there’s a good chance your posture, mobility and strength are paying the price. And most likely your back and other areas picking up the slack. Your body needs to be strong enough to support good movement, particularly your core, glutes, upper back and hips. This TRX movement is a great example. It challenges the core and glutes to work together while maintaining balance, stability and control. This is the kind of training I love working on with my clients, especially those 40+ who spend much of their working day at a desk and want to feel stronger, fitter and more capable. This is about smart, progressive strength training that supports the way you actually live. If you’re based in London and want to improve your strength, mobility or confidence in your body, get in touch. I would love to help you! #TRXTraining #TRX #PersonalTrainer

Ene Corral shared thisYour glutes and core do so much more than shape your physique, they help support your pelvis, improve stability, and reduce unnecessary strain on your lower back. Ene Corral shared thisyes Mr Motivator, well said 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Ene Corral shared thisMovement really is medicine. 💚 Innerva really brought some magic to Elevate – the B2B event of physical activity this year, with none other than Mr Motivator! It was incredibly special and nostalgic for so many event attendees to get to experience movement, in person with Mr Motivator himself. The beauty of events such as Elevate, is the in person, physical experience and connection and this was no exception. Mr Motivator has long stood for making movement and exercise fun, joyful, and accessible to everyone - regardless of age, background, or ability. Ene Corral shared thisA lot of people train abs just for aesthetics and forget that the core is really about how well you move, stay stable, and control your body as one unit. I’ve just shared a new blog where I go through 5 simple, practical tips to help you actually build real core strength. If you want better lifts, better posture, and better mobility, this is a great place to start. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eFJDYp_H Oru Space Train with Ene #oru #corestrength #improveyourposture

Ene Corral shared thisMost people think stronger glutes come from doing more squats, hip thrusts, or deadlifts. But what if the missing piece is actually your core? I've found that when people learn how to engage their core, they often unlock better glute activation and more efficient and effective movement overall. And that's exactly what we'll be exploring in my upcoming Glute & Core Clinic on 20 June at the Oru Space in Sutton. During this 2 hour session, we'll look at - The relationship between the core and the glutes - Why stability drives strength - Exercises that target both areas My goal is for you to leave with a better understanding of your body and exercises you can use during your own training. 📅 20th June 🕑 2pm – 4pm Link to book on comments 👇🏽 I'd love to see you there 💗 #StrengthTraining #CoreTraining #GluteTraining #PersonalTraining

Ene Corral shared thisI'm excited to share the very first article on my website and it's a topic I'm incredibly passionate about: why women over 40 should strength train 💪🏼 Strength training, for me, is about building resilience, confidence, and long-term health benefits. It's gaining control over how your body moves and how you feel about yourself. This is the first of many articles I'll be sharing, covering all things women's health, fitness, and healthy ageing. Have a read, and if you'd like more sign up to my newsletter. #womenshealth

Ene Corral shared thisSo proud! 🙏🏼🙌🏽Ene Corral shared thisWe are RENAMING Oru Sutton to... 🏆 RIBA AWARD WINNING Oru Sutton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can we bring a hollowed out, forgotten department store back to life and make it genuinely good for Sutton? Yes we can Paul Hepworth Nelmes The 2026 UK RIBA London Award judges said it better than I ever could: *"A highly creative conversion... Oru Sutton has delivered exceptional value for the local community. It convincingly demonstrates that architectural quality, social ambition and environmental responsibility can be achieved on a limited budget when underpinned by a clear vision and a forward-looking client."* This building sat empty for nearly a decade. Five storeys of darkness, dead air, and lost potential after BHS went into liquidation in 2016. Today it feels open, calm, and full of life. Ene Corral liked thisEne Corral liked thisSeptember = a month to remember in every sense! On a professional level it was enriching to play a part in delivering the Personal Finance Society's Officer's Conference. This event brings together individuals from across the financial planning community who volunteer their time to make a real difference for others working in personal finance. Held at the golfing mecca which is The Belfry, the event delivered two days of engagement, education and insights. Kudos to the team which pulled off an event to remember, including Reena Jakhu, Victoria Lewin, Rebecca Andlaw, Lisa Townley, Gisele Wines, Winnie Stoyanova and Shelley O'Rourke. It also saw Carla Brown CFP™️, FPFS, TEP's stellar stint as President of the PFS draw to a close, as she passed the presidential chains of office to the equally worthy Kate Gannon FPFS MCSI as her successor. Upon checkout it was time to focus on a personal milestone - my marriage to Chantelle Peat! After 16 years together we tied the knot during a day which far exceeded our expectations. Our highlights reel is stuck on repeat and we're eagerly awaiting the photographer's full set of photos. Next week, my focus returns to work and ensuring we hit the registration targets which will help deliver a #pfsfestival to deliver. Ene Corral liked thisEne Corral liked thisStrength starts with the feeling that you belong. This week I’m heading to New Orleans for the 2026 General Assembly of YMCAs, and I’m looking forward to connecting with the people helping communities become healthier, stronger and more connected. For me, one of the biggest opportunities is helping more people feel confident enough to begin strength training — and supported enough to keep going. 💪🏽The first-time member who feels unsure. 💪🏽The older adult who wants to stay independent. 💪🏽The person returning to exercise who needs guidance and encouragement. At VOA Fitness, this sits at the heart of our belief in Strengthspan: helping people build and maintain the strength and physical capability to live life fully, for longer. That starts with accessible training, clear guidance and a welcoming environment where people of different ages, abilities and experience levels feel they have a place. I’m looking forward to hearing from YMCA leaders about what is working in their communities, where barriers remain, and how we can help more people take that first step. If you’re attending, I’d love to connect in New Orleans. #Strengthspan / #Communities / #Inclusivity / #connected YMCA of the USA

Ene Corral liked thisEne Corral liked thisLet’s get real : Nowadays, I do not usually attend business book events or expect to be all fired up at such an event. Last week was definitely an exception. Eric Ries was in London talking about his new book, Incorruptible. I was reminiscing on my memories of The Lean Startup, and thought he'd talk about how the lean start up operates today. Instead, I’ve been energised with and engaged in the ideas, and the examples he has shared with us since. Bonus: superb storytelling. Here’s a snapshot of what he's showing us: There's a force that pulls organisations toward mediocrity. Eric calls it financial gravity, "the force no one controls but everyone obeys." It doesn't come from greed, or from companies getting old and tired. It comes from governance. Structural pressure, built into how a company is owned and who it answers to. Eric Ries told several stories, evidenced with the relevant data in his book on a pattern: Where products that people loved turn into machines for extracting money from them. And employees, who initially believed businesses are a route to fulfilling and improving human potential, now feel the mission statement is a quote on the wall. And if you’d read this post so far and thought "oh, no, we're not mediocre, and we’re not corrupt", that's exactly the point. Nobody sits in a meeting and votes to become extractive. Everyone makes a reasonable call, one quarter at a time. Till a pattern emerges. So, what does this 'financial gravity' even mean, why is it happening? And what do we do about it? That’s best heard from him on the books and podcasts. Eric's episode on Lenny Rachitsky's podcast is in the comments: it can spark your thinking beyond tech and business, and towards what we're creating with our work. Thank you to Openseed VC and The Startup Leap for making this event happen and to Maria Rotilu for the insightful interview. And Huckletree Google for Startups for their support.

Ene Corral liked thisEne Corral liked thisThree places that shaped my whole fitness career. 1. Central YMCA club. I spent more than 10 years teaching more than 3,000 people how to be fitness instructors and personal trainers. This is where I learned to teach, present and run workshops. 2. 12 Bedford square. This was YMCA Fitness Industry Trainings head office. I spent 4 years here running business development and learning about the industry. 3. London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. This is where I started my PhD. Given that opportunity I developed my critical thinking and evaluation skills and how to evaluate information in a methodical way. Thank you to all those people who gave the opportunity to walk through the door.

Ene Corral liked thisEne Corral liked thisYesterday at Happy Place Festival ❤️ I got to do my first proper book signing for Demystifying Yoga, which was a bit of a moment! After spending so long writing the book, it still feels strange (in a good way!) seeing people actually buying it, reading it and asking me to sign their copy. I also got to teach, share what I love and have some really good conversations along the way. Thank you to everyone who came over and said hi, joined me on the mat or got their book signed. And thank you to Fearne Cotton and the Happy Place Festival team for having me back. Still taking it all in 📚❤️

The best ideas in healthcare rarely develop in isolation. They come from bringing different perspectives together: people who understand the clinical need, the science behind the innovation, the market access challenges and, importantly, how to make sure people understand why that innovation matters. Because even the best healthcare innovation will not make an impact if the people who need to use it do not see where it fits in clinical practice. Building that awareness and understanding is a critical part of supporting adoption. That is why Onyx Health is supporting Health Innovation North 2026. The Onyx Health team will be in Newcastle this October, joining conversations across health, care, academia and industry and bringing our perspective on what it takes to move healthcare innovation closer to the people who need it.
