K-Dense is an AI agent platform that autonomously executes complex tasks across science, engineering, healthcare, finance, and beyond. We offer K-Dense Web, a hosted AI research agent for individuals, labs and teams, and K-Dense Enterprise, which deploys K-Dense Web in a dedicated K-Dense cloud, your own cloud, or on-premises for organizations that need custom integrations, enterprise security, and dedicated support. Faraday is an AI co-scientist built into a benchtop lab instrument, available in early access with a quote on request. K-Dense BYOK is a free, open-source desktop app that runs on your own computer with the models you choose.
K-Dense Web is our self-service platform for individuals, labs and teams. Sign up instantly and pay as you go, or choose a Plus or Team plan. K-Dense Enterprise is built for organizations and includes everything in K-Dense Web plus custom integrations (CRMs, ERPs, databases), private data connectors, enterprise security controls and audit logging, custom UI/branding, team management, and dedicated support with SLAs.
K-Dense Web is a fully hosted platform. You simply upload your data or describe your goal, and our AI agent breaks down the task, executes multi-step workflows, runs analyses, and generates professional reports and visualizations. With K-Dense Web, everything runs on our secure cloud infrastructure. K-Dense BYOK runs on your own computer, Faraday runs on an instrument in your lab, and K-Dense Enterprise can deploy in your own cloud or on-premises.

Partly. The Instant effort level is free — it answers directly, like a chat assistant, with no code execution. Anything that actually runs research costs credits: Standard is capped at $9 per run and Pro at $29. There is no free credit allowance to start with, so you purchase credits as you go — see pricing for rates. Our open-source Scientific Agent Skills are also completely free and MIT licensed, and run on your own computer with Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible tool. K-Dense Enterprise customers receive custom pricing.

K-Dense Web is designed to take you from raw data to polished deliverables with minimal manual intervention.
Yes, data security is a top priority. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not train AI models on your data, and you retain full ownership of all your outputs. K-Dense Enterprise customers can opt for private cloud or on-premises deployments with additional security controls and audit logging. Absolutely. Our open-source tools (MIT licensed), K-Dense Web, and K-Dense Enterprise can all be used for commercial purposes. The one exception is the discounted research Team plan from our Research Grant Program, which is for non-commercial research only. Enterprise customers benefit from additional features like custom data connectors, dedicated support, and deployment options tailored to their organization’s needs.
K-Dense supports a wide variety of data formats including CSV, Excel, JSON, PDF, and many specialized formats for different industries. For scientific data, we support formats like FASTA, FASTQ, PDB, SDF, and standard analysis outputs. Enterprise customers can request custom data connectors for proprietary formats and internal systems. Contact us if you have specific format requirements.
K-Dense uses state-of-the-art AI models combined with established methods and validated tools. All analyses include appropriate methodology, and the AI provides clear documentation. We recommend users review outputs as they would any computational analysis and validate key findings as appropriate for their domain.
K-Dense Web supports sharing sessions via public links, and the Team plan adds unlimited seats and a shared credit pool. K-Dense Enterprise includes full team collaboration features: shared workspaces, role-based access control, team management, usage analytics, and administrative controls for managing access across your organization.
Yes. K-Dense Web supports WebMCP, a proposed web standard that lets a page offer tools to AI agents running in your browser. Once you are signed in, an agent can start a research session, follow the run, read its messages, report, and output files, reply, and organize sessions into folders, all through typed tools instead of screenshots and clicks. Payments, sharing, deleting, and account settings are never exposed, and anything that spends credits is flagged so the agent checks with you first. K-Dense Enterprise offers flexible deployment options: Cloud Hosted (fully managed on our secure infrastructure), Private Cloud (deploy in your own AWS, GCP, or Azure environment), and On-Premises (install within your own data center for strict data sovereignty requirements).
