Diogo Myrrha reposted thisDiogo Myrrha reposted thisCISOs: There’s a blind spot in CVE reporting. And attackers know it. When a new CVE drops, your team checks one thing first: affected versions. But here's the rub: when a vulnerability is found, CVE reporters more often than not only report the in-support versions affected. They don't bother to check the older, unsupported versions. And herein lies the problem: - A vulnerability is disclosed that affects code in an old EOL branch - The CVE lists the affected, supported versions - Your scanner checks the range on the CVE - Your EOL version isn’t listed - No alert triggers You believe you’re not exposed. But the vulnerable code is still running. Now look at it from the attacker’s side: They read the advisory. They diff the patch. They test older EOL builds. And they realize something dangerous: companies running EOL software may not even know they’re vulnerable. That’s worse than a zero-day. With a zero-day, nobody knows. Here, the attacker knows, and you don’t. If your vulnerability program depends on CVE “affected version” metadata, and you’re running unsupported software, you may be systematically underestimating security risk. At HeroDevs, we check every CVE reported in supported versions of our NES libraries to see if they affect the old, EOL versions. If they do, we fix them and ship the fix out to our customers. Software secured, risk mitigated.

In the last 6 months we overhauled our entire ai development stack. We built our own fleet of ai agents that have access to our entire tool stack, preview deployments that can be used to rapidly test, and accelerated CI and Ai review processes. Our commit rate has 4X’d as a result. But we hit a bottleneck, our team standup of 8-12 people had so much work going through them we couldn’t keep track of it in a team standup format. So we decided to change how we operate. Instead of two pizza teams we broke up into 2-4 person pods. Each pod has ownership and the autonomy to drive their domain forward using AI to rapidly accelerate. We then align with pod leads on priorities on a weekly cadence. If AI replaces the IC role, that makes each human the equivalent to a lead of a pre-AI team. Because we have a high talent density, agentic team this is already starting to pay huge dividends. We’re still at the beginning of how AI will transform how we build. And I expect we’re going to have to continually evolve as the capabilities progress. Excited for the ride 🚀

And probably matters now more than ever before since AI is competing hard against mediocrity. Those that are highest paid and/or do the most interesting things seem to be those that others seek out. They don't really write resumes or go through complex interview processes. Their work stands on its own, people notice, and referrals flow in. I see this all the time at University Growth Fund. Those that crush it with us always land somewhere amazing. So what does that take? I think it mostly comes down to what can you accomplish for others. What value can you add? What can you do that they can't? The harder and more unique the better. I think there is also an element of continuous personal growth - companies that grow quickly tend to be those that are bought, not sold, and I think it is the same with individuals. Those that have a steep learning curve enjoy skill compounding that can accelerate throughout their career. People also have to know you have these skills. So finding a way to be seen matters. Be that on social, in front of key decision makers, etc. If you are in college or pivoting a career, what are the things that will set you apart, give you opportunities to accomplish interesting things, and develop unique skills? You also need to find ways for others to see what you can do, ideally in an inspirational sort of way, not an ego driven one. I've found the best way to do this is to just help other people. Anyways, just a thought kicking around my head today. Who are the people in your life that are sought out by interesting opportunities vs having to "sell" themselves at a discount?

He was incredibly ahead of it's time. The quality of the team is insane, and some of their early benchmarks reflect that, very impressive progress.Diogo Myrrha liked thisWe're coming out of stealth. We've built our first racks after a successful A0 tapeout, $1B+ in customer contracts, and $800m raised. Early customer tests show us achieving SOTA throughput, latency, and power efficiency on inference workloads. Our first racks ship this summer. We're a team of 400+ engineers from NVIDIA, Google TPUs, Broadcom, SK Hynix, TSMC, & more. We're backed by Jane Street, HRT, Two Sigma, and Jump, with strategic investment from VentureTech Alliance. We're excited to deepen our partnership with the world's leading semiconductor manufacturer. Our Series B was led by Stripes, with participation from Ribbit Capital, Radical Ventures, Positive Sum, Primary, & Argo. Our inference systems are built to push the entire pareto curve on frontier models, including many-trillion parameter MoEs, long context, and agentic workloads. Today, we're sharing two breakthroughs to make this happen: Low-Voltage Inference (LVI) for high throughput workloads. Today, AI chips can't scale FLOPs without thermal throttling. As FLOPs utilization increases, AI chips draw more power and downregulate clock speed. This often results in sustained inference throughput under half of peak FLOPs. Chips in other industries solve the power problem by running at lower voltages. Bitcoin miners run at under 3x the voltage of AI chips! We’ve designed a new architecture to run our chip’s math blocks at under half the voltage of most AI chips. This enables multiple times the FLOPs density of AI chips today. Cluster-Scale Memory (CSM) for low latency workloads. Today's AI chips using HBM can’t achieve SRAM-level decode speeds due to memory subsystem and interconnect bottlenecks. SRAM-only chips have lower FLOPs density and memory capacity, sacrificing throughput. You’re forced to make a tradeoff: serve at much slower speeds, or run at low batch sizes and suffer from higher costs. When running large MoE models, token routing across experts requires sending data through a deep memory hierarchy and a networking switch to reach a destination expert. Each memory layer inherently adds latency; thus, the best layer is no layer. We’ve designed a new architecture that creates a shared low-latency memory pool across the entire scale-up domain. We use a proprietary ultra-low-latency, high-bandwidth interconnect to enable dramatically faster memory access across chips. Our HBM/SRAM hybrid design solves both memory capacity and mem2mem latency, enabling high throughput and interactivity simultaneously. CSM improves latency and avoids today's cost, reliability, yield, thermal, and compute tradeoffs of SRAM-only chips, 3D DRAM chips, or optics. We're scaling production as fast as possible. We built a 2MW datacenter in our office and opened a Taiwan factory for 24/7 engineering. Performance, roadmap, and more updates are coming this summer. Diogo Myrrha liked thisDiogo Myrrha liked thisThree years ago, our family put our lives on hold to serve a mission for our church in Brazil. At the time, I was CEO of the company I founded, Cotopaxi. Leaving that role was one of the hardest things I’ve done, but I never doubted it was the right decision. Now our mission has come to an end. If I had to summarize the most important lessons, they would be these: 1. Joy comes from serving others. Money, status, and power don’t create lasting fulfillment. Ironically, the pursuit of happiness directly rarely works. Serving others is the way. 2. Less consumerism leads to a richer life. For three years, material possessions and social media played a much smaller role in my daily life. I found that most of the things competing for our attention contribute very little to our happiness. 3. Authenticity matters more than ever. When we left, AI was not part of our lives. Today it is everywhere. However, AI can’t replace genuine human connection. I hear a familiar artificial voice in posts, comments, and speeches, and I find myself drawn instead to people who speak from the heart. 4. Family and friendships are life’s greatest treasures. We’ve missed our family and friends tremendously. In the end, people are what matter most. 5. Faith grows through sacrifice. I owe God everything. Many of life’s greatest blessings come after we are willing to give something up. We gave up things to serve in Brazil, but what we gained in return was far greater. These three years were among the most meaningful of our lives. I’m a little sad it’s over, but also excited about what’s next!

The manufacturing industry is in the middle of a generational knowledge transfer. The technicians who know exactly how a 20-year-old press behaves before it fails or can hear a bearing going bad before any sensor catches it are retiring. And that institutional knowledge walks out the door with them. A modern CMMS doesn't just schedule PMs and close work orders. It becomes the organizational memory. Standardized failure codes. Asset history. Documented procedures. Repeatable routines built from decades of experience. We've seen plants use their CMMS to capture what veteran technicians know and build it into workflows that newer team members can follow from day one. The skills gap in manufacturing is real. Founders make dozens of decisions every week. Make sure you're one of the founders who go back to check how those decisions played out. It's easy to remember the wins and explain away the misses. If you don't actively work against that, you end up with a growing confidence in your own judgment that's never actually been tested. I was in a session with a founding team that had been running for years. Experienced, sharp, deep domain knowledge. When I asked how they make product and prioritization decisions, the answer was honest: "From experience. But we don't always revisit those critically." Their experience had created assumptions that felt like facts. Hardwired beliefs about customers, pricing, and priorities that hadn't been questioned since they were first formed. In another company, a founder had a real "lightbulb" moment when she realized they'd been tracking customer data for billing and sales, but never for learning. The data to evaluate their own assumptions was sitting right there. They just hadn't thought to look at it that way. This isn't really about "data vs. gut." Most founders use both, in some mix, all the time. The deeper question is whether you have any feedback loop on your own decision-making. When you made a bet on a customer segment six months ago, do you remember what you assumed? Did it turn out to be true? If not, what did that teach you? The founders who build the best companies hold themselves accountable for their own calls. They go back, check what happened, and adjust their compass. That's how intuition actually develops. Not through experience alone, but through experience that's been honestly examined. Every correction makes the next decision a little sharper. Don't let your ego or the pace of the business stop you from developing the one asset that compounds over time: your judgement.

The Information is out with news that Blue Owl Capital is now backing STARGATE, the OpenAI, data center in New Mexico with a $3B investment as part of an $18B syndicate being assembeled right now. This financing from Blue Owl Capital for OpenAI will see Oracle leasing the chips in the data center from OpenAI with an expansion on OpenAI Abeline Texas data center project. While the scale of these investments is obviously huge the timing, following yesterdays announcement of Anthropic not only spending less, but generating stronger financial metrics is somewhat surprising. 💡Emerging GP Fundraising Insight #8: Rolling Closes Keep You Moving Small funds can't always afford to sit still until the target is hit. Rolling closes let you start deploying earlier, build a track record, and show momentum to prospective LPs. One GP told me that for Fund I ($5M target), he took capital as it came, signed, wired, and got to work. It wasn't perfect, but it kept the lights on and the deals moving. Sometimes the "sign and wire as it comes" approach is the only way to get moving. Takeaway: Momentum is a fundraising asset and rolling closes can help you keep it. Has anyone here used rolling closes as a strategic advantage?
