What started as isolated pockets of discontent has grown into a nationwide rebellion: the Hands Off! movement — a call to defend democracy from the very people who believe they own it.THE HANDS-OFF REVOLUTION: AMERICANS RISE AGAINST THE TYRANNY OF BILLIONAIRESTHE HANDS-OFF REVOLUTION: AMERICANS RISE AGAINST THE TYRANNY OF BILLIONAIRES -
E. J. "Jay" Williams, Jr. [LION™] Toplinked Marketer reposted thisE. J. "Jay" Williams, Jr. [LION™] Toplinked Marketer reposted thisFormer President of Poland Lech Wałęsa wrote the following letter to Trump. Your Excellency, Mr. President, We watched your conversation with President Volodymyr Zelensky with fear and distaste. It is insulting that you expect Ukraine to show gratitude for U.S. material aid in its fight against russia. Gratitude is owed to the heroic Ukrainian soldiers who have been shedding their blood for over 11 years to defend the free world’s values and their homeland, attacked by Putin’s russia. How can the leader of a country symbolizing the free world fail to recognize this? The Oval Office atmosphere during this conversation reminded us of interrogations by the Security Services and Communist court debates. Back then, prosecutors and judges, acting on behalf of the communist political police, told us they held all the power while we had none. They demanded we stop our activities, arguing that innocent people suffered because of us. They stripped us of our freedoms for refusing to cooperate or express gratitude for our oppression. We are shocked that President Zelensky was treated similarly. History shows that when the U.S. distanced itself from democratic values and its European allies, it ultimately endangered itself. President Wilson understood this in 1917 when the U.S. joined World War I. President Roosevelt knew it after Pearl Harbor in 1941, realizing that defending America meant fighting in both the Pacific and Europe alongside nations attacked by the Third Reich. Without President Reagan and U.S. financial support, the Soviet empire’s collapse would not have been possible. Reagan recognized the suffering of millions in Soviet russia and its conquered nations, including thousands of political prisoners. His greatness lay in his unwavering stance, calling the USSR an “Empire of Evil” and confronting it decisively. We won, and today, his statue stands in Warsaw, facing the U.S. Embassy. Mr. President, military and financial aid cannot be equated with the blood shed for Ukraine’s independence and the freedom of Europe and the world. Human life is priceless. Gratitude is due to those who sacrifice their blood and freedom—something self-evident to us, former political prisoners of the communist regime under Soviet russia. We urge the U.S. to uphold the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, which established a direct obligation to defend Ukraine’s borders in exchange for giving up nuclear weapons. These guarantees are unconditional—nowhere do they suggest such aid is a mere economic transaction. Signed, Lech Wałęsa, former political prisoner, President of Poland

"Jay" Williams, Jr. [LION™] Toplinked Marketer shared thisLast month I was asked to speak at the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Media conference, along with Mark Prince, SVP, Head of Economic Empowerment at Dentsu Media, on the opportunities and challenges of investing with diverse media suppliers. The ANA which has a membership of over 600 companies with 25,000 brands that collectively spend over 400 billion dollars in marketing communications and advertising, asked their members why the investment in diverse-owned media hadn’t caught up with the interest from the advertising community. During our session, I gave my top five reasons for utilizing diverse-owned media and yesterday the ANA published those reasons. I hope my list can help brands internally and media buyers externally, understand the value of utilizing diverse-owned media outlets. The Top 5 Reasons for Using Diverse-Owned Media OutletsThe Top 5 Reasons for Using Diverse-Owned Media Outlets -

"Jay" Williams, Jr. [LION™] Toplinked Marketer reacted on this"Many have passed away, and those who are still here are called "the elderly."" We were born in the 40s-50s-60s. We grew up in the 50's-60's-70's We studied in the 60s-70s-80s. We were together in the 70s-80s-90s. We got married or not and discovered the world in the 70s-80s-90s. Adventuring into the 80s - 90s We're settling in to the 2000s. We became wiser in 2010s. And we’re going strong into 2020 and beyond. Turns out we went through EIGHT different decades... TWO different centuries... TWO different millennials... We've gone from phone with operator for long distance calls, pay booths, video calls worldwide. We’ve gone from slides to YouTube, vinyls to online music, handwritten letters to emails and Whats App. Live games on the radio, black and white TV, color TV, then HD 3D TV. We went to the video store and now watching Netflix. We've known the first computers, punch cards, disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones. We wore shorts all through our childhood, then trousers, ep pants or mini-skirts, Oxfords, Clarks, Palestinian scarves, jumpsuits, and blue jeans. We avoided childhood paralysis, meningitis, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19. We've done roller skating, roller skating, tricycle, bicycle, moped, gasoline or diesel and now we drive hybrids or electric. We played with the little ones horses and checkers, ostrich and marbles, 1000 threshold and monopoly, now there's candy crush on our smartphones And we read... much And our schoolmates religion was not a subject... We used to drink tap water and lemonade in glass bottles, and the vegetables on our plate were always fresh, today we get meals delivered Yes, we have been through a lot but what a beautiful life we have had! They might describe us as “ex-annuals”; people who were born in this 50s world, who had an analog childhood and digital adulthood. We should add the Biological Revolution that we have witnessed. In 1960, biology was very descriptive. We have witnessed the event of Molecular Biology: the molecules of Life have been discovered: DNA, RNA etc. When you see everything that has come from it: gene therapy, gene fingerprints, and others the progress is considerable. We kind of have "seen it all"! Our generation has literally lived and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life. This is our generation that has literally adapted to "CHANGE". A big congratulations to all the members of a very special generation, which will be UNIQUE.. " Photo Woodstock 1969

"Jay" Williams, Jr. [LION™] Toplinked Marketer reacted on thisMy daughter attends Florida State University - this is one of her Grad pics taken last week - she graduates May 3rd. Today there was an active shooter on FSU campus - there were deaths and many more injured. This is the same child who spent her Junior and Senior year in HS dealing with COVID and lockdowns only to spend her last week in college surviving an active shooter. I’m just heartbroken for the kids, their parents, their friends. I think I am still in shock. I never thought I’d be the one sending a text to my child asking if they are safe from an active shooter on campus and waiting desperately to see those bubbles, a response that they’re safe, yet that’s where I found myself today. I’m still shaking. So sad. Not sure why I’m posting this but I guess it’s to say hug your kids, tell them how much you love them and how proud you are of them because on a beautiful spring day it can be gone in an instant. I’m so grateful she’s safe but man does my heart break for those families 💔

E. J. "Jay" Williams, Jr. [LION™] Toplinked Marketer reacted on thisE. J. "Jay" Williams, Jr. [LION™] Toplinked Marketer reacted on this"For the last 9-months, my wife, Brooklyn has been pregnant with a very sick baby boy. Three or four months ago, we learned that the baby had severe hydrocephalus. Back in the old days, hydrocephalus was called, 'water on the brain' - too much brain fluid. Ultimately, we were referred to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where we were told by several of the most highly regarded fetal specialists in the country that his condition was dire. The baby's condition was 'off the charts bad'. It was so extreme that the specialists stopped measuring and monitoring his fluid level because, at that point, it didn't really matter. The MRI's were sickening to look at. We were told, pointblank, that there was over a 90% chance that the baby would either die shortly after birth or have such severe cognitive impairments that any quality of life would be hard to imagine. We had a meeting with palliative care regarding the use of life sustaining measures and had detailed, awful, and emotional discussions about the ethics of when we might need to remove or cease such measures - which would result in the baby 'passing away peacefully'. Brooklyn relocated to Cincinnati and lived in a hotel close to the hospital - in case she went into labor. I commuted back and forth. On July 8th, Brooklyn did indeed go into labor. Literally, 15 minutes before they wheeled her back to start the C-section, we had another meeting with doctors regarding the use of a breathing tube and at what point we might need to remove that tube and let the baby go to Heaven. Guess what? The baby came out crying - which was the sweetest sound I ever heard. In a nutshell, Charlie Schnarr stayed in infant intensive care until yesterday - when we all came home. He seems to be a normal, beautiful baby doing all the things that babies do. He has mild ventricular enlargement, but we can deal with that with checkups. How did this happen?! The doctors said, 'We do not have and cannot come up with a medical explanation for what we've witnessed here'. Somehow his brain found a way to naturally clear the blockage or re-route the fluid that was causing the oppressive back up of brain fluid. During the last week, I heard the words, 'divine intervention' and 'miracle' more times than I could count. Nurses with decades of experience and esteemed, nationally admired doctors were flabbergasted but jubilant. Because of the domino effect of friends, family, clients, colleagues and even strangers praying and asking others to pray for us, I do not doubt that there were thousands of people praying for us. I'm a practical person that certainly believes in science and medical technology, but I absolutely know, from the bottom of my heart, that God was involved in this. I give ALL of the credit and glory to Him. Prayer is positively powerful. God is real, and He still performs miracles." Credit: Nick Schnar
