Jeff Lizik reposted thisJeff Lizik reposted thisA truly custom home should be as unique as the family who lives in it. That’s the difference between custom design and simply modifying a pre-existing plan to fit a lot, style, or budget. A custom home starts with your vision—not a floor plan selected from a catalog. Before choosing a builder, ask the questions that matter: Can they design your home from the ground up around your lifestyle, needs, and future plans? Will you understand projected costs before design begins? What materials will be used, and who will be responsible for installing them? The answers reveal more than a builder’s process—they reveal their commitment to transparency, quality, and customer service. Your builder should welcome questions and address concerns before construction starts. You’re not just hiring a contractor; you’re entering a partnership built on communication, trust, and shared expectations. Building a home is one of the largest investments you’ll make. Choose a builder who listens, guides, and delivers a home designed specifically for you. Because your dream home shouldn’t fit a plan—the plan should fit your dream. #custom #homebuilding #luxuryhomes #pittsburgh #homeconstruction #customhomebuilder

It was a privilege to collaborate on a second build for this client—this time on a beautiful piece of land they discovered in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Their vision and ideas for this next chapter truly inspired the design process, allowing us to create a home that reflects both their lifestyle and what matters most to them. Jeff Lizik posted thisLocal SEO isn’t just keywords—it’s vibe. Anyone can stuff a page with “near me” phrases. That’s not what gets people in the door. People choose businesses that feel right. The ones that feel like part of the community. The ones that show up at the Friday night game, know the coffee shop owner by name, and share the same inside jokes about the weather. Nail your Google Business Profile so you’re easy to find. Then share authentic stories—real wins, local faces, behind-the-scenes moments. Lean into what makes your town tick: the quirks, the pride, the shared experiences. Schwartz taught us: connect emotionally, not mechanically. People remember how you make them feel. When you do this right, your brand isn’t just another listing—it’s part of the local heartbeat. #localseo #digitalmarketing

Jeff Lizik posted thisI see a lot of digital marketers chasing trends. They’re not system-builders. They jump from TikTok hacks to AI tools, hoping for a quick win. But the real game? Timeless systems that stack equity. Take list building: a simple email list compounds value, protects clients in downturns, and drives 80% of your revenue with 20% effort. Stop chasing shiny objects. Study Ogilvy and the marketing masters. Nail the basics, and build assets that last.

Jeff Lizik posted thisI hear a lot of people talking about AI being the answer to their marketing problems. Newsflash! It's not. AI won’t turn you into a world-class marketer. It won’t fix a weak strategy. It won’t save you if you don’t understand human psychology or what moves the needle in a funnel. But, if you’ve got rock-solid fundamentals? If you understand the why behind conversions, the when behind content, and the how behind persuasion? Then AI becomes a superpower. It’s like handing a turbocharged wrench to someone who already knows how to build an engine. You still need the 80/20 lens. Know what makes a difference. You still need to think like a strategist, not a tactician. You still need to know your buyer better than they know themselves. Want to level up? Don’t chase shortcuts. Build skills. Then let AI pour jet fuel on them.

Jeff Lizik posted thisAI Isn’t a Silver Bullet for Your Marketing Problems, It Just Raised the Bar I’m starting to see more business owners, either themselves or directing a lower level employee, use AI to generate a few blog articles, social posts or emails, and suddenly feel like marketing is “handled.” I get it. AI is fast, cheap, and can be good at producing content. But here’s the hard truth: using AI doesn’t make you a marketer. It just raised the bar. Because now, everyone has access to the same tools. Your competition can crank out content just like you can. What sets you apart now isn’t using AI. It’s knowing how to use it in a way that aligns with a real marketing strategy. If you don’t understand marketing fundamentals like positioning, audience targeting, messaging, or customer psychology, you’re not actually using AI for marketing. You’re just clicking a button and hoping for the best. You’re not QA’ing the output properly. You’re not shaping the message for your audience. You’re not building trust, brand, or conversion. That’s not marketing. That’s content noise. To win today, you need to know two things: How marketing actually works How to use AI to amplify that, not shortcut it AI doesn’t solve your marketing problem. It exposes it. And without the right foundation, it can actually amplify bad strategy and fast. Businesses don’t just need tools, they need marketing intelligence. Because when you do know how to market, AI is competitive advantage. When you don’t, it’s a crutch.

Jeff Lizik posted thisI still see a lot of marketers working for small to mid-size businesses forgetting about proven fundamentals of digital marketing. List building. Basic. Not trendy. It doesn’t win awards. But it works and it always has. An owned, engaged email list is one of the most valuable assets a brand or business can have. When things take a turn and go south, you still have your list. It’s direct. It’s controlled. It converts. It’s not optional. It’s strategic infrastructure. Master the basics. Build what lasts. That’s how you create leverage.

Jeff Lizik liked thisJeff Lizik liked thisTo lead authentically is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves as leaders even when it looks a little "crazy" to other people or it's not what they are used to or it feels a little "intense". Tampa Bay Tech Week showed me how important it is to lead from an authentic place and to keep leaning into all the leadership skills I have and it was one of the most rewarding things for me in my career. Now on to 727 Tech Day because we all know we aren't stopping the movement and the momentum that was created!Leading a Movement That Forever Changes a Region Is One of the Best Experiences I've Had as a LeaderLeading a Movement That Forever Changes a Region Is One of the Best Experiences I've Had as a LeaderEmily Adams

Jeff Lizik liked thisJeff Lizik liked thisMost leadership advice tells you to show up bigger, louder, harder. Very little of it tells you to slow down, get honest, and ask: “How do I actually operate without the pressure, programming, or performance?” That question changed everything for me. I grew up in an Amish cult. I was taught to lead through obedience, control, and suppression and that I would never be a leader as woman. When I found Human Design, I finally had a framework that helped me understand things. I realized I was a Manifestor. I move fast. I initiate. I need space and when I lead like that everything clicks. I started building a business that fits me. My energy came back. Inspiration and drive was unmatached and everything started flowing. I stopped performing leadership and started embodying it. I just wrote about this in this issue of my new LinkedIn newsletter: 👉 “Leading By Design: The End of One-Size-Fits-All Leadership” It’s for founders, creatives, and team leaders who are ready to stop forcing strategies that don’t fit and start leading from alignment. You’ll also get a free tool to use with your team right now.Leading By Human Design: The End of One-Size-Fits- All LeadershipLeading By Human Design: The End of One-Size-Fits- All LeadershipEmily Adams

Jeff Lizik liked thisJeff Lizik liked thisHey, that over-sized 2MB-plus png photo on your home page is killing your website's performance and compromising your search rankings. Oh, and that 2000 pixel-wide logo? Yikes. Let's talk about optimizing your website so visitors aren't driven away. I mean, that's assuming they're finding you in the first place and your home page takes less than 3 seconds to load. Hey, look, I get it. Nobody expects you to know all of the intricacies and best practices of building a website and optimizing it for multiple devices. You took your best DIY shot at it, which is commendable. But, now it's time to get the most out of your website. That's what we're here for. Your highest-converting page might be doing great… but search engines can’t “see” it yet. Quick fix for better visibility: • Add contextual internal links from related pages (not just nav/footer) • Use descriptive anchor text (match intent, not “click here”) • Confirm schema labels support the page’s purpose (Product/Service/FAQ/Article) • Make sure it’s included in sitemaps + not blocked by noindex/canonicals Want a fast audit? Drop your industry + the page type (service, product, lead gen, blog) and I’ll share 3 internal-link opportunities to start with. 🔍
