Miro Humer liked thisMiro Humer liked thisHad a great two days last week at a leadership training built for new CISOs and the rising leaders aiming for that seat. NEOCC partnered with Optiv (thanks to Daniel DeSantis, CISSP and Courtenay Fraitzl) and their fabulous executive coach Jason Weiss to bring this program to Ohio, and it delivered. The group spent two days on the skills that actually determine whether a cybersecurity leader succeeds: communicating well — with their own teams, and up and across to the C-suite and the board. Getting to spend real time with this group, watching them go deep on what great leadership looks (and feels) like, and walk out sharper than they walked in, is a big part of NEOCC's mission. It was great to get to know some of the NEOCC members in this setting, and to meet some great new colleagues from other companies. Grateful to Optiv and Saviynt for the investment in this strong program, and to everyone who showed up ready to learn. From my very first conversations with the team, it was clear this is an exceptional group of people fully committed to delivering value for clients while continuing to grow and innovate, and I couldn't be more energized to be part of that journey. Thank you to Rick Buoncore, the entire MAI Capital Management team, and our partners at The Carlyle Group for welcoming me onto your team. After more than 30 years leading large-scale technology, operations, and digital transformation efforts at organizations like KeyBank and Bank of America, I can't wait to see what we build together. I am leading the implementation of the full Peoplesoft Grants module(s) integrated to Cayuse for proposal development\electronic submission. This is a major part of the presidents initiative for Cleveland State University to be more research orientated. This will allow faculty to develop their proposals electronically, obtain electronic approvals and to submit directly to the appropriate agencies.

In my role of project manager we needed to move from a third party open enrollment system to one that better meets our needs. After investigating and rejecting Peoplesofts solution, we developed our own within the Peoplesoft framework.
We now use this system for all life-event changes, annual open enrollment as well as generating all vendor enrollment files. This gave us a system that was tailored to our particular needs and didn't include any unnecessary functionality. -

I was the project manager\champion as we replaced a 30 year old paper based time collection process with the Kronos time & labor system. Through this project we helped Kronos develop the multiple jobs module for employees that held multiple jobs with various supervisors.
We integrated Kronos directly into Peoplesoft (our payroll system) and transformed three days of data entry into a five minute process. This was the first installation nationally of the multiple jobs module as well as…I was the project manager\champion as we replaced a 30 year old paper based time collection process with the Kronos time & labor system. Through this project we helped Kronos develop the multiple jobs module for employees that held multiple jobs with various supervisors.
We integrated Kronos directly into Peoplesoft (our payroll system) and transformed three days of data entry into a five minute process. This was the first installation nationally of the multiple jobs module as well as the first higher education installation that covered all employees (faculty, hourly & professional).
The implementation required the training of all 450 supervisors and securing the buy-in of all four unions on campus. We went live on time and under budget and have yet to have a grievance filed by any of the unions for any system related issues.
