Nick Guillory shared thisAt the beginning of 2026, I was sitting on a beach in Mexico working a role that taught me A LOT about the business of influencing. I’m glad I did it because, honestly, it was the LAST PIECE I needed before taking my own career in creating content and “influencing” into my own hands. Guys, I’ve been working in social for 15 years. I’ve worked on some incredible projects — many of them from the ground up. I helped turn hands in pans into a household phrase, launched two nationally syndicated talk shows, and worked at MTV — my childhood dream. But after parting ways with that role, it was time to hang it up and focus on ME. So I launched the Black Gay Boy Abroad blog. Yes, a damn blog… in 2025. 😂 Do people even know how to read anymore? I guess I’ll find out. I also made it a goal to start monetizing my life. And I’ve done just that — with A LOT more to learn. Another goal was to get better at platforms I knew nothing about. S/O to Jessica Morrobel for influencing me. 👀 Pinterest has always been a platform I loved from afar, but up close? It overwhelmed me. So I’m THRILLED to announce that I’m a member of this year’s Pinterest Inclusion Fund! I’ve already learned SO much, and I’m incredibly grateful that Pinterest chose me to be part of this year’s cohort. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked this closely with a platform, so I’m thankful they decided to wheel my old ass in and teach me a thing or two. 😂 I’m excited to take what I learn and use it to grow my brand, expand my storytelling, and get more of my work out into the world. So THANK YOU, PINTEREST! 🥹 More to come… hopefully very soon. #Pinterest #PinterestInclusionFund #SocialMedia #PinterestCreator #Travel #TravelCreator

Nick Guillory shared thisAnother collaboration abroad! 🇹🇭 🩵 Guys if it’s one thing you’ll learn about me I love learning how to cook better. Generally, I know how to cook pretty decently.. being from Louisiana. But I love learning new cultures and learning how they cook is very important to me. Thai food is one of my favorites, so it was really nice to go on this journey with @baanfarmthaicookingschool! Go watch on the tube app - link in comments! Nick Guillory shared thisSo proud of my "lil" Cousin, Jordan Guillory! Her illustrious career in not only professional work but her education has made our entire family proud. Anyone will be lucky to have her as their own! :) If you're looking for a deck of cards... She's the one! <3Nick Guillory shared thisThis month officially marks 2 years of living in New York City and 3 months since graduating from NYU Stern with MBA! In the past two years I've been able to explore my dream of working in strategy at Apple TV, countless group projects that increased my capacity as a business leader, produce and do set design for over 6 NYU Tisch Grad film projects, start a podcast, continue my interior design practice, produce events, and genuinely get inspired everyday by the world around me. I am so grateful to the beautiful city of New York and my now Alma Mater for opening up my world and allowing me to try new things beyond my comfort zone everyday. With that being said, I am open to work and open to new experiences that continue to stretch what it means to be a creative strategist, marketer, storyteller, and producer!

Nick Guillory shared this3 months ago, I moved from Mexico to Southeast Asia. Currently, on a journey throughout this beautiful region that many Americans never see... You'll hear it, "Its just so far!" Well, yes, it is far. But why let that limit you? I have been simply having the time of my life out here. In fact, last week, I went to an ethical elephant sanctuary, took a Thai cooking class, and ate all the Thai food I could possibly stomach. It was great to revisit the place that started it all over a decade ago, Thailand was the first place I traveled to outside of North America. If you're thinking about traveling, solo traveling, or just getting up and out of your comfort zone ... DO IT! My mother passed away nearly 7 years ago, and I said, after that, I'd never be complacent in life. If I can tell you anything, JUST DO IT. Stop being scared. Stop limiting yourself. Just DO THE THING! #Travel #TravelCreator #Thailand #SEA #Bangkok #ThaiFood

Nick Guillory liked thisNick Guillory liked thisAfter five incredible years at E! News and NBCUniversal, including a year during the transition to the newly spun-off Versant Media, I closed a chapter at the end of May that I had been working toward since I was a teenager. It’s incredibly difficult to sum up an experience that I know I’ll look back on as foundational to my career, but I’ll try. Beginning my journey at E! as the Executive Assistant to the EVP/Editor-in-Chief became my own personal masterclass in entertainment news. I said yes to every opportunity that came my way, and in doing so, got to learn from just about every side of the digital entertainment news business. Getting to run around red carpets, interview some of my faves and photobomb a few Glambots were just a handful of the many “pinch me” moments that reminded me I was living out what I used to daydream about when I was 19 and working two jobs while taking full-time classes. 🥹 From navigating countless breaking news moments, livestreams, and award show nights to growing our YouTube channels and working on digital original series, I sharpened my editorial judgment, expanded my skill set, was promoted to Associate Producer/Editor, and, just as importantly, learned the importance of adaptability in an ever-changing digital landscape. But the most valuable part of this chapter will always be the people. I’m grateful to have worked alongside some of the absolute best in the business. To the leaders who trusted me, challenged me, and gave me opportunities and room to grow; the colleagues who became friends; and everyone who shared their knowledge and passion with me—thank you for helping shape this chapter of my career. I’m excited to share what I’ve been up to since, but more on that soon. ✨

Nick Guillory reacted on thisProud to have led the influencer marketing campaign for #FuriousOnHulu and to have helped bring this incredible title to life alongside my amazing colleagues across Hulu Marketing. From the trailer drop and press junkets to screenings, the premiere and everything in between, every moment was an opportunity to build conversation and bring more people into this layered, meaningful story. So honored to have been a part of such a phenomenal campaign. And what an honor to watch Liz Merriweather’s incredible work, brought to life by Emmy Rossum and this brilliant cast, unfold throughout the season. The Season 1 finale is now streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+!!

The latest headlines about TikTok’s ownership shift in the U.S. and the subsequent reports of account suppression are a wake-up call for every creator, entrepreneur, and business leader. If you are relying solely on an algorithm to reach your community, you are a "waiter" - waiting for a platform to give you permission to be heard. In strategic communications, we know that your reputation is your currency, and you cannot protect that currency if someone else owns the vault. Consider the scale of what is at stake... Goldman Sachs estimates the creator economy could reach $480 billion by 2027. These are individuals building massive businesses just by sharing their expertise, but those businesses are only as secure as their access to their audience. Whether it’s shifting political landscapes or new corporate policies, the truth is non-negotiable: If you don’t own the relationship with your audience, you don’t own your future. Self-reliance means taking your destiny into your own hands before the next crisis hits. Here is how you take the power back and move from being a "waiter" to a "creator": -Build Your Own Assets: Don't just build a following; build a mailing list. Own your data and your narrative so you aren't vulnerable to "shadow-banning" or throttling. -Invest in Direct Relationships: Value culture is about intentionality. Move your audience from a fleeting "like" to a direct connection where you provide consistent, meaningful value. -Bet on Yourself: Stop giving your best work to apps that exploit your attention. Put that time and effort into platforms and systems where you have creative dignity and self-respect. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Nobody is going to put you at the top of their priority list. You must do that for yourself. Platforms shouldn't own people. People should own their influence.

Curation is everywhere in programmatic right now — but for many publishers, it’s a trap. On paper, curated deals promise packaged inventory and premium budgets. In practice, publishers are often paying to be curated while: Getting little to no visibility into what’s actually being packaged Lacking insights into how these deals perform vs open auction or PMP Having zero levers to optimize yield inside those curated pipes Recent coverage has highlighted that curated deals frequently replace open auction spend rather than adding net new demand, leaving publishers with extra costs but no upside. (Digiday) Others have noted that transparency is missing: publishers can’t see what buyers are really accessing or how fees are applied in the chain. (MediaPost) Curation can work — but only if publishers have transparency, reporting, and control. Without that, it’s just another layer of tax on the supply chain. 👉 For the industry: How do we make curation deliver real value to publishers, not just intermediaries?
