Travis Bowie shared thisIt’s been a prolific product launch week here at PayPal! I’m thrilled to announce we have taken our beloved PayPal Credit product, an always on digital line of credit, and made it possible for our US customers to now start using this product in-store. Customers have been asking us to extend the value proposition and benefits of PayPal Credit to their in-store purchases and today’s launch makes that possible. Congrats to their entire team that shipped this release and continues to help PayPal revolutionize commerce globally! Travis Bowie shared thisI'm super excited to be in Berlin this week revolutionizing commerce with our launch of PayPal Everywhere in Germany. Earlier this week, we shipped our digital wallet, which enables consumers to make contactless payment in store through NFC and also empowers consumers to pay over time in installments (Ratenzahlung To Go). We also announced Deal Week, which allows consumers to earn up to 10% cashback when they pay contactless with the PayPal app. This week's announcement was a massive cross-functional team effort, so thank you to everyone who contributed to these releases and made it possible for our German customers to start buying with PayPal in store! Our leadership team did a great job striking a balance between celebrating and appreciating what we have achieved together and pushing us to execute on the enormous opportunity ahead. All topped off with the funniest guy alive and aspiring PayPal CEO, Will Ferrell. Awesome day! #MoreCowbell #Momentum #PayPal

Travis Bowie liked thisTravis Bowie liked thisReady for Day 2 at Talent Connect! Yesterday we started exploring the theme “Work, like never before” and while everyone is talking about AI (how could we not?), the best conversations were about the messy reality of change management. My biggest takeaway so far: We’re obsessed with pushing change into processes, but we’re not spending enough time evaluating the outcomes. As Allen Blue highlighted, the real sequence should be deciding how our company strategy needs to evolve first, then figuring out where AI tech fits in. A few stats that caught my eye: 📉The Market Freeze: Quits are down 9% and layoffs down 2%. The market is stabilizing, but because people are holding onto their seats, backfills are scarce. 💡The AI Advantage: GenAI-native professionals are getting 2.6x more recruiter outreach (and higher pay offers). If you’re job hunting, this is your signal. 📝Future-Proofing: How do we train today’s students and teams for jobs we can't even imagine yet? Skill agility is replacing rigid career ladders. As inspiring as the big-stage sessions were, my favourite part of the day was just hanging out with our customers face-to-face. No substitute for real human connection ❤️

It's a flexible part-time role, mostly remote, for someone local to PB, Bird Rock or La Jolla. If you know a detail-oriented person with admin or bookkeeping experience who'd like a few steady hours a week, please send them my way or share this. 🙏

Travis Bowie liked thisTravis Bowie liked thisI sat down with Matt Alderman and Jason Albuquerque on the Business Security Weekly podcast this week to talk through 18 months of securing AI inside Robinhood. Here's what we learned: Data governance first. Full stop. Before anything else, we built a custom LLM gateway — a PII redaction and logging tool — and routed all AI traffic through it. Limit direct inference to the labs where you can. If you don't have control of your data, what are you actually doing? You are accountable for your agents' actions. I spent 14 weeks at our company all-hands reminding every Robinhood employee: if your agent spins up sub-agents, you own the whole lineage. Building that cultural commitment is required. We backed it up with monitoring. Don't try to transform everything at once. Early on, we burned too much time evaluating AI-native replacements for tools we already had. Then it clicked: you can often build AI-native capabilities on top of what you already own. We stopped the evaluation spiral and picked a lane. Build it. Don't wait. We built our own MCP gateways, LLM judges, and endpoint tooling because the vendor tooling wasn't there. That infrastructure now autoconfigures across every device at Robinhood. Defenders have a real build advantage right now — use it. Travis Bowie liked thisTravis Bowie liked thisSome people have been predicting that due to AI, we'll only need individual contributor builders, and that there's little future in leadership. And many of us know people that have voluntarily moved from leadership back to a builder role. However, I see this as a temporary state. In my latest article called Experts Lead Experts, I try to explain why: https://lnkd.in/g9yf5aPpExperts Lead Experts - Silicon Valley Product GroupExperts Lead Experts - Silicon Valley Product Group

Travis Bowie liked thisTravis Bowie liked thisKatie Jacobs Stanton had an impressive career, and yet betting on herself was still the scary part. After roles at Google, Twitter, the White House, and the State Department, Stanton stepped back to launch Moxxie Ventures. As Founder and General Partner, she went from being part of a team to building something of her own. The name Moxxie means courage, which feels fitting for a career shaped by taking big swings, navigating rejection, and getting comfortable putting herself first. Travis Bowie liked thisTravis Bowie liked thisWhat an honor to be named Bay Area CFO of the Year (Public Company – Large) at the 20th Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards last week. I’m incredibly grateful to the Airbnb finance team — an extraordinarily talented group of people who challenge me, teach me, and make me better every day. I’m also fortunate to have learned from so many great mentors and colleagues throughout my career, and to be part of a company where finance helps build the business rather than just keep score. Most importantly, the awards event supported the extraordinary work of Larkin Street Youth Services. Since 1984, Larkin Street has helped more than 80,000 young people facing homelessness in San Francisco. Their work starts from a conviction we share at Airbnb: a home isn’t just a roof. It’s the foundation that makes everything else possible. Thank you to the San Francisco Business Times, Larkin Street Youth Services, and the nominating committee and selection panel for such a meaningful recognition. And congratulations to my fellow finalists — it was a privilege to be recognized alongside such an extraordinary group. https://lnkd.in/g5BRGbQc

It took Coca-Cola 20 years to bottle its first soda in Cuba, while McDonald’s and Starbucks waited 27 and 16 years, respectively, to serve their first customers in Canada. Today, businesses building on Stripe are global by default. Stripe’s 2025 annual letter shows that for businesses on Stripe that earn most of their revenue internationally, 30% of that revenue comes from countries that are neither their home market nor one of the top 10 global economies. This propels a massive shift in how enterprises manage global capital, leveraging stablecoins for cross-border payouts and treasury operations to maintain 24/7 liquidity in a 24/7 economy. We are also building the roads, not the cars, to ensure the world’s financial highways are ready for AI shoppers. Pioneers like Halara are already leading this charge, using our Agentic Commerce Suite to ensure their products are discoverable and purchasable by AI agents globally.
