Today, we’re announcing that starting in early 2027, YouTube Premium subscribers in the U.S. will get Peacock Premium included with their membership. 🦚 👏 We’re excited to expand our partnership with NBCUniversal, bringing new benefits to YouTube Premium members and extending our multi-year distribution agreement for YouTube TV.  Together, we’re giving viewers more of the content they love in one place, including the creators, artists and communities that make YouTube unique alongside Peacock’s live sports, hit movies and popular shows.

Great move for consumers, but as someone building in the creator economy space, I have to ask: how does adding legacy media bundles affect the pool for independent creator payouts? We need to make sure the core YouTube ecosystem keeps rewarding the creators who built it.

Serious question: I understand the distinction between a partnership and an acquisition. But if regulators are scrutinizing transactions like the proposed Paramount–Skydance merger and have paused the Warner Bros. Discovery split over competition concerns, how is a long-term partnership between YouTube and Peacock viewed differently? YouTube is already one of the largest content distribution platforms in the world, and Peacock is a major premium content provider. Doesn't combining that scale, viewership, and capital create some of the same competitive advantages regulators are concerned about in mergers? Where is the line?

This is sick thank you YouTube gods

The next streaming winner won't own the most content, it'll own the best bundle. Distribution is becoming the new moat📈🤷

AI is making content creation dramatically easier. That raises the value of something much harder to automate: trust. The platforms that win won’t just help creators produce more. They’ll help audiences understand what, and who they can trust.

Can you explain how these rights work and how despite also paying premium in UK, we won’t get the same access ? Network rights deals now look antiquated in a global streaming era

Hey, I’m kinda mad at the fact that your AI moderator is banning accounts of ASMR content creators, especially women (which is kinda sexist), for nudity and sexual policy when it has nothing to do with that. I didn’t know that whispering in a mic 🎙️ is labeled as “nudity & sexual”. Please, do something about it. Know a few creators that have been doing that for years and that is their livelihood. It’s their only source of revenue. I mean, relying on AI when it has so many flaws is bad. Please bring back actual humans.

This is really interesting. Feels like everything is coming back into one place again. Do you think users actually prefer this over managing multiple subscriptions?
