Google Analytics’ Post

Is your attribution model keeping up with your real sales cycle? 🎯 Google Analytics updated its conversion window configurations 📈 Now you can set click-through conversion windows from 1 to 90 days and engaged-view conversion windows from 1 to 30 days, ditching rigid presets to align reporting directly with how your customers actually buy. Being able to tune click-through and engaged-view windows to the real sales cycle is a meaningful step for measurement quality. The key is to document the business rationale, keep settings consistent across channels, and evaluate window changes against qualified pipeline or revenue—not just reported conversion volume. Flexible windows are most valuable when paired with clean event definitions and a clear attribution framework.

Useful update. One thing I'd add from auditing setups: if you import GA4 key events into Google Ads, align this window with the conversion window on the Ads conversion action. When they differ, GA4 and Ads report different conversion counts for the same campaign and teams waste hours reconciling. For local service businesses where most leads call within a few days, a shorter window usually reflects reality better than the full 90.

We work with a lot of home service clients (HVAC, plumbing, roofing) where the gap between first click and booked job can be weeks and rigid conversion windows have always understated true campaign performance for them. Being able to extend click-through windows to 90 days means the data finally reflects the real sales cycle instead of forcing it into GA4's old defaults. Small setting, real impact on how you read ROI.

Definitely like to reduce the impact days , it should bee semantic for customer so that it can judge it properly within time.
