Google Cloud’s Post

🎉 Google was named a Leader in the 2026 Forrester Wave for Public Cloud Platforms, earning the top score in the Current Offering category. In our opinion, this report validates our efforts to enable the agentic enterprise, and to provide our customers with rapid technology innovation and a broad, AI-enabled cloud platform. Leading on Current Offering in a field that includes AWS, Microsoft, and Alibaba is a meaningful signal, especially in a category where enterprise workloads are shifting fast toward agentic and AI-native infrastructure. The gap between "strong performer" and "leader" on this kind of chart usually comes down to execution speed, not just feature checklists

The boring stuff - data governance and scalable architecture - almost always predicts long-term platform success better than flashy features.

From working across AWS, GCP, and Azure, I learned that the strongest cloud platform is not necessarily the one with the longest service list. I would evaluate identity, auditability, resilience, migration effort, operating complexity, skills availability, portability, and unit economics together. Analyst recognition is useful, but a CTO still needs evidence that the platform improves delivery speed and reliability without creating an expensive dependency the organization cannot manage.

I love this perspective, and I wholeheartedly accept your amendment. 'Human Judgment' is a much more robust and safer anchor than 'instinct' alone, especially when the stakes are as high as PFMEA ratings or customer commitments. Your breakdown of intelligence vs. judgment vs. wisdom is incredibly powerful. It aligns perfectly with the shift we are seeing toward the agentic era—just look at the latest Forrester Wave Q3 2026 report, which names Google Cloud a Leader for enabling the 'agentic enterprise'. The tech is rapidly handling the retrieval and analysis, which leaves the most important part completely to us: critical thinking, cross-functional judgment, and ethical reasoning. Thank you for adding such valuable, real-world depth to this conversation!"

Congrats to the team. Curious how this shows up for the average website owner though, since a lot of the "AI-enabled cloud platform" benefits stay pretty abstract until they translate into faster hosting and better Core Web Vitals for the sites actually running on it.

Interesting to see how AI capabilities are becoming a key part of the public cloud platform conversation. The shift toward agentic enterprise use cases makes the underlying cloud infrastructure increasingly important.

Great to see... BigQuery, AlloyDB, Spanner and Knowledge Catalog together make a strong case for modernising the data stack for AI.

The framing around "agentic enterprise" is worth watching closely — most cloud providers are still talking about AI in terms of individual tools and models, while positioning around agentic infrastructure suggests Google is betting on a bigger architectural shift in how enterprises actually deploy AI at scale

Congratulations to the team. Curious how much weight buyers give data location next to platform strength when they shortlist.

🏆 Forrester’s Q3 2026 Public #Cloud Wave scored 10 providers on 30 criteria and gave Google Cloud the highest Current Offering mark including 5/5 on containers/Kubernetes, serverless/FaaS, operations management, databases, analytics, data integration and data governance, plus the “Agentic Data Cloud” that is supposed to sit across transactional and analytic planes. 🎼 None of those 30 boxes is a containment test, a notification SLA, or evidence that an agent runtime cannot leave a public portal, so the scorecard is still a feature matrix, not a control-plane audit. 🤨🤨🤨 Time for sleep now!! 😴😴😴
