How did you spend your Thursday?
I spent part of the afternoon broadening my knowledge and network with #ABM leaders.
Last Thursday was one of those days that reminded me why I love and always grateful for the ABM community. I had the opportunity to join not one, but two roundtables with some incredibly smart people discussing where ABMers are today, where we are going, and what roadblocks and challenges we’re all solving on that daily.
Starting my morning, I joined a conversation hosted by Sam of ABM Answered. Great questions, different perspectives and the kind of discussion where you walk away thinking about a few things differently than when you arrived. I had a short but wonderful time with these leaders. Great to connect with Martin, Dominic, Vasileios (Vas), James and Elliott.
Then I joined Davis Potter of ForgeX and his thought leadership roundtable to discuss aspects of ABM rollout and #AI. Loved things that Juan M. Martinez was saying on this call. He gets the 3Rs and makes me so happy - and I know if makes Inflexion Group happy that we're all using the nomenclature from Bev Burgess. Also, I got to see engage with several people that I never get to connect with enough, Alex Pappas, Travis Muller, Marlee Katlyn McDonald-Yepes, MBA and Craig Abramson - great to see all of you last week. Special thanks to Adit and hyperGTM for organizing this event.
And if that wasn’t enough for one Thursday, I also had the opportunity, at the invitation from Bob of TechResources, to join The Channel Handoff: An ABM Brain Trust and hear Jay McBain share his perspective on the channel and the increasingly important role it plays in the broader ABM ecosystem.
What stood out to me in about all of these conversations was how much Account-Based Marketing continues to evolve. There isn’t one person, platform, framework or book with all the answers - although, there is one that just came out about this type of Relationship Revolution 😁. The best ideas come when practitioners, strategists, partners and thought leaders get into a room and challenge each other.
That’s how our discipline gets better. That's how WE get better.
Massive thanks to Sam, Davis and Bob for including me in these conversations, and to Jay for sharing his perspective.
Not a bad way to spend a Thursday morning.
