Jonathan Bean har delat dettaJust heading back from a brilliant few days at HumanX in Amsterdam "Europe's AI moment is here," the banners said, and it genuinely felt that way. Hopefully we shared some interesting perspectives a panel on scaling agentic AI in the real world with ElevenLabs, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Sinch. And sharing an evening with so many customers, partners and builders of the agentic era was inspiring. To sit on a table and exchange ideas with the United Nations AI leadership team and Kazakstan's first tech unicorn Higgsfield AI together with so many more european and global AI leaders, was a reminder that this era, like many others will still be powered by peoples thoughts, dreams and creativity, alongside the tech. We can't do it alone. Some things never change. A few things came up again and again that are worth sharing. Trust is the foundation, not a feature. As more of the customer relationship gets handed to agents, the infrastructure underneath has to be provably reliable - every message, call and interaction, at scale, everywhere. Voice is emerging as the native agentic channel. But almost nobody wants voice on its own, every conversation circled back to the same ask: a seamless omnichannel execution layer, so voice, messaging, email and other channels work as one system. There's no single global playbook. Approaches to frontier models, sovereignty and regulation look genuinely different by region, and so does the appetite and speed to move. Build for that reality, don't fight it. And yet, talk to almost any founder building something remarkable outside the US, and the dream is still, at some point, to go and win America. Turning technological possibility into economic and customer reality takes an ecosystem, not one vendor. Model builders, cloud, infrastructure and the enterprises putting it all to work, it still takes a village but its easier to connect those parts these days. We've been here before. Sinch's infrastructure helped power the growth of the cloud era, and we're watching the same story play out again with agentic AI (only 100x faster). Trust, context, reliability and solid infrastructure are what turn a great demo into a business outcome. The pipes used to be the boring part. Now they're the smart part, the same plumbing, now intelligence and data that is quietly fuelling agentic execution and business outcomes that would have sounded like science fiction two years ago. Thanks to everyone who joined the panel, the dinner and the conversations in between. The agentic era isn't arriving, it's already running on infrastructure being built right now. #HumanX #AgenticAI #Infrastructure #Voice #Sinch

Jonathan Bean har omdelat dettaJonathan Bean har omdelat dettaSometimes good news come in pairs. Yesterday I finally got my first RCS message on my iPhone thanks to Tele2 as the first mobile operator in Sweden launching iOS RCS support. 💫 Many moons have passed since January 2018 when Sinch (under our original CLX name) hosted one of the early "GSMA RCS A2P Future Messaging Labs" at our offices in Atlanta. I have been involved with getting RCS to market ever since (lots to be said here... 🙂) but I am very happy to personally move from theory to practice. Me getting RCS serendipitously happened at the very same time that I attended the RCS World Tour in Paris hosted by Google. The event brought together everyone in Europe and beyond working on making RCS for Business the new foundation for rich, conversational and AI-powered business messaging. The biggest difference this year compared to previous was the number of enterprises attending and that are already using RCS to delight their customers. Particularly proud of having Sinch customers Groupe Clarins and Renault on stage! Over 2bn (+1!) people are on RCS today, but this is still just the beginning. Watch this space. 🚀 Josh Pepper Alastair Slattery Marie Rommi Héléna MICHEL Anders Carlsson Mariola Knapik

Jonathan Bean har delat dettaSo much good stuff here. Particularly Transformation v Automation - a real challenge for all organizations. It’s all about timeline of the ROI. In an old world transformation often took years but automation could provide quick wins to quarterly driven either PE funded or public companies. Question I would pose is how can we reduce the transformation ROI timeline 10x with the tools available today, and can the cultural part keep pace. Thx Ivan Ostojic and McKinsey & Company - awesome insights as ever 🙌🙌🙌Jonathan Bean har delat detta88% of organizations now use AI. Only 6% are getting outsized returns from it. Our, McKinsey & Company latest State of AI survey makes the gap brutally clear — and the differentiator isn't spend. High performers invest roughly 5× more of their digital budget on AI, yes. But the real separation is in how they think about it. Three patterns that distinguish the 6%: 1. They aim for transformation, not automation. High performers are 3.6× more likely to set growth and innovation objectives, not just cost reduction targets. 2. They redesign workflows before deploying models. Bolting AI onto existing processes is the most expensive way to achieve incremental results. The leaders rebuild the process first, then embed AI into it. 3. They treat AI as a leadership project, not a technology project. Organizations where senior leaders actively champion AI, not just approve budgets, are 3× more likely to scale successfully. The most overlooked finding: 62% of companies are experimenting with AI agents, but only 23% are scaling even one. The bottleneck isn't the technology. It's organizational readiness: governance, workflow redesign, human-in-the-loop protocols. This mirrors what I've seen across industries: the companies stuck in "pilot purgatory" almost always have a leadership gap, not a technology gap. AI adoption is no longer the question. AI transformation is. And transformation is, and always has been, a leadership discipline. Where does your organization sit: experimenting, or scaling? https://lnkd.in/eGWvtncc

Jonathan Bean har delat dettaCouldn't be prouder of my amazing colleague Sophie Cheng stepping into the role of CMO at Sinch. Jonathan Bean har delat dettaEuropean enterprises are navigating one of the tightest regulatory environments for AI-driven communications in the world: GDPR, the EU AI Act, DORA, and other sector-specific rules across banking, healthcare, and telecoms. At the same time, channel expectations are accelerating. Customers expect branded, conversational, two-way experiences on the channels they already use every day. The vendors winning in EMEA right now are not the ones with the flashiest demos. They’re the ones whose infrastructure holds up under regulatory scrutiny while still letting brands move quickly. Having spent time with enterprise customers across the region over recent months, the pattern is consistent: regulatory confidence is a prerequisite, not a differentiator. We believe our position as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for CPaaS for the fourth consecutive year reflects what European customers have been telling us matters most: trust, reliability, and the depth of channel expertise to operate across 190+ countries without compromising on either. Jonathan Bean har delat dettaFor years, businesses have focused on optimizing individual communication channels. Today, though, a new landscape is emerging. One where AI and heightened customer expectations demand a single, unified experience. The old walls between CPaaS, UCaaS, and CCaaS simply don’t fit this new world. IDC has introduced a new, holistic IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Communications Engagement Platforms, and I’m incredibly proud that this inaugural report names Sinch as a Leader. For our team, I believe this recognition is a powerful acknowledgment of the path we're on. To me, it validates our strategy of building a comprehensive platform that handles it all — from the foundational network and APIs to the applications that power meaningful conversations. I’m so proud of our team for their foresight and relentless work. We're building the future of customer communications, and it's an honor to be recognizedas a Leader. If you're shaping your customer experience strategy for the years to come, this report is an essential read. Get the excerpt: https://lnkd.in/e4gfy_er

Jonathan Bean har lagt upp dettaA new chapter. 🐝 After seven years as CMO at Sinch, I'm moving into a new role as EVP EMEA & Global Partnerships — and I couldn't be more excited about what lies ahead. EMEA is a region with an extraordinary customer base, deep local presence, and talented teams already doing exceptional work. My focus is straightforward: get close to our customers and our people, and make sure we're turning the massive opportunity in AI-driven customer experience into real outcomes for the businesses we serve. At the same time, I'll be continuing to lead our Global Partnerships function — an area that is becoming increasingly critical as we deepen relationships with the world's leading AI players and build the ecosystem around what comes next. And what comes next is significant. When you consider that Sinch works with over 200,000 businesses globally — more than 70,000 of them in EMEA alone — the scale of what we can do together becomes very real. Conversational AI, SMS, RCS, email, voice, — every channel enterprises rely on to communicate with their customers. The way those interactions are delivered is being fundamentally reimagined, and Sinch's trusted infrastructure is at the heart of powering the next generation of agentic communications. I also want to say a personal thank you to Nicklas Molin. Seven years of working closely together in the trenches — I know better than most what he has given to this business and this region. Huge respect and very best wishes for what comes next, Nicklas. And to the Global Marketing organisation — I'm proud to be passing the baton of leadership of a truly fantastic team. The journey we've been on has been transformational, and I have every confidence in what comes next. First order of business: get on the road. If you're a customer, partner, or prospect in EMEA — I'd love to connect. #wearesinch #dreambig #makeithappen #wintogether #keepitsimple #EMEA #CustomerExperience #AI #CPaaS #AgenticAI

Jonathan Bean har delat dettaMost enterprises are optimizing messages. But the leaders I see pulling ahead are rebuilding systems. In an AI-first world, trust is defined by how your communications perform under pressure, not by what your brand says. 👂 Two-way by default. 🔐 Protected against fraud. 🏛️ Governed and reliable. 📲Consistent across channels. At Sinch, we’re seeing this shift play out across industries. I’ve written about the leadership mandate this shift demands. Looked around and realized I’ve been holding a rallying speech about the opportunities for European tech. For the whole surgery crew. It is hilarious, of course. But there and then it just made me so sad I cried for hours. I’ve been working so hard I apparently did not wake up thinking of my family but rather just kept on working, processing my to do’s and work ambitions. Like that is my only drive and purpose in life. It’s not. I’m a mother of four. There’s a deeper reason I’m sharing this: the struggle of juggling parenthood and work. I can be fully present as a mom: calm and committed to the morning porridge kind of chaos, making magic out of a forest walk, a birthday, or just an ordinary day. I love ordinary days! But my work is so exciting and it feels like we’re making a real difference every day. No wonder work keeps seeping in when I try to switch off. But that has to be okay, right? It’s part of wanting it all - to build big things and still have a family you actually spend real time with. I’m all for that, and I’ll never stop aiming for that balance. Just wanted to share some empathy with all of us trying our best - to be it all, at once. ♥️ (Before you ask for beauty advice: For a dry and fluffy hair look - use Descutan! 😂)

Jonathan Bean har reagerat på dettaJonathan Bean har reagerat på dettaOne year has gone by (pheew time flies) today marks the 1 year anniversary since we opened up the ALIGN shop. 🐼 This is my second rodeo setting up a marketing agency. I reflected on how different the ALIGN journey has been compared with Relatable. With Relatable, it was all about "making hit songs" in America, dreaming and winning american brands, setting up "cool" offices in New York and LA and focusing on the "western" world. We were also purely focused on Creator/KOL/Influencer Marketing. 10 years later, it's quite different. ALIGN has a "cool" office in Shenzhen, 90% of our business comes from China, we have fully led and taken care of a total rebrand and launch of one of the most exciting energy storage companies in the world, and we are in discussions and pitches that are more about business transformation/adaptation than "Only fluffy Marketing". This is by design by us, and I personally think and just know that we have an offering and positioning that very few boutique agencies have today. If you are serious about China, then we should chat. AI have changed the game a lot, but the AI sloppiness and idiocy people quickly see through today is a bigger issue than expected (more on that another day). Connecting the dots is more important than ever, was important 10 years ago, now things are more compicated. In the middle of this ALIGN year, my first son was born as well, this have changed the life priorities and whats important in life dramatically. Like that "client fire" can wait when Theo sleeps his siesta in my arms, couldn't care, before I would jump on it with full strength, but now things can wait, my time with my son can't. I remember that when we celebrated the first Relatable year, we were very proud and excited, the ALIGN journey is even more exciting, better numbers, more exciting opportunities, much more fun context, so here's to what year two will bring! Also, doing it with my great co-founders in Felicia Lövgren, Sarah Grann, Kalle Mobeck and Folke Engholm makes things so much easier. ❤️ PS: We also launched SilkBridge Capital³ in the middle of all this, but today is all about ALIGN.

Jonathan Bean har gillat dettaJonathan Bean har gillat dettaComing back today after a week of PTO at the beach with my family for fall break, and I’m feeling refreshed, recharged and mostly just incredibly grateful. ❤️ For the first time in my entire career, I actually took a FULL week off. No laptop tucked into my bag “just in case.” I removed Teams, Slack and email from my phone before we left. I had promised my son that I was going to fully disconnect and be present with them for the week, and I kept that promise. And it was amazing. For a whole week, I just got to be Mom. I got to slow down and really enjoy the little things. Watching the sun come up over the beach (alongside our new crab friend who joined us for sunrise one morning 🦀). Getting completely lost in a great book. Watching my kiddos laugh together. Trying new things and exploring together. Great conversations, being goofy, and all of us unplugged and just enjoying each other. The kind of moments that become core memories. I logged back in this morning expecting the usual “okayyyy… what did I miss?!” 😂 But as I’ve worked through emails and messages, I’ve found myself overwhelmed - not by the work, but by how grateful I am. For my incredible team, who held down the fort and continued to absolutely crush it across some very visible projects and critical searches. For my peer Malin Bränd, who made sure my team was supported and nothing fell through the cracks. And for my leader Kristie Healy, who encouraged me to truly take the time and disconnect. And I’m incredibly grateful to work at Sinch, where a generous PTO policy is backed by a culture that actually makes you feel like you can use it. Today I’m just feeling really, really lucky. Lucky for the week I had with my family. Lucky for the people I get to work alongside. And excited to be back, refreshed and ready for everything we have ahead of us in these final few months of 2026. 🐝

Jonathan Bean har gillat dettaJonathan Bean har gillat dettaHSBC sends hundreds of millions of messages a month across every retail and commercial banking market it operates in. SMS, email, push notifications, in-app messages. Nearly every customer interaction depends on that message landing on time. When Chinese telcos introduced strict new SMS regulations, HSBC suddenly needed 10,000+ messaging templates registered and re-approved across markets. Work that could've taken over a year and left the bank exposed to penalties. Sinch worked closely with local carriers to get it done. The approach HSBC built during that transition is now the playbook for regulatory changes in markets like Taiwan and Ireland. Ten-plus years in, HSBC has also brought on Sinch Mailgun to strengthen email deliverability, and is now exploring RCS and WhatsApp as next channels. "They provide value beyond the contract, including market insights, use case sharing, and co-creation," says Phoenix HY Li, Head of Messaging at HSBC. "This is a true partnership, not just a service provider relationship." Definic rebrands from Nordics and raises $2.9 million seed round to expand Vendor Intelligence platform internationally Definic, the Vendor Intelligence startup formerly known as Nordics, has raised a $2.9 million seed round as it begins its next phase of growth and rebrands under a new name. The round was led by J&T Ventures, with participation from Seed Starter ČS, part of Česká spořitelna, and Slovak Investment Holding (SIH). Definic said the funding will support expansion across the DACH region, the UK, and the United States, while also accelerating product development. The company builds a platform for enterprise procurement teams to evaluate vendor fit, project requirements, and live market pricing for external IT services. Definic says the software is designed to help large organizations shorten tender cycles and improve visibility into vendor selection decisions. The raise signals investor interest in procurement technology as enterprises look for more data-driven ways to manage IT vendor spending and sourcing complexity.
