[Free workshop] Eight sessions, one day, on the thing every product team is currently arguing about internally: what AI actually changes about how we build. My session is a workshop. Agentify Your Product in 45 Minutes. Not a demo. I build a working product agent live inside an existing product, one that navigates, triggers actions, and renders UI. Users say what they want. The agent does it. Sharing the day with Cleo Lant, Justin Eckhouse, Gia Laudi, C. Todd L., Rukmini Baruah, Rafiq Sheikh and Ramli John. Good lineup. Real practitioners, not a panel of predictions. Sept 22. Free. Link in comments. https://lnkd.in/dvRgidfJ Thanks for having me, Ramli John.

Mickey Alon shared this𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝟵𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝟴𝟴 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀. The WSJ says we are in the AGI era. Brockman says it out loud. Amodei, Altman and Musk spent the same week asking the industry to slow down. And inside your product, a user is still clicking through five menus and three filters to run a report. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. The model is not your bottleneck. Frontier capability is rented. You and your competitor buy the same intelligence at the same price on the same day. What you do not share is the layer between your user and that intelligence. That layer is still a menu. Traditional software ships the same UI to everyone, so every user does the assembly. Learn the navigation. Map your goal onto someone else's screens. Sit through the training. The deeper the product, the more the menus bury the value. I have tried to fix this from the inside. At Adobe Marketo we ran a full UX overhaul. At Gainsight we ran a project called Simplify. Both shipped. Neither removed the complexity, because you cannot take features away from B2B customers, and you cannot make a hundred of them feel simple. So the cost moves somewhere else. Onboarding calls. Implementation projects. A CSM assigned to carry the account to first value. Support tickets that are really UI tickets. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿. Generative software breaks that trade. The agent builds the 80% baseline. The user edits the last 20%. A 30 click workflow collapses into one prompt. Zero click tax. Zero cognitive load. And when the agent cannot resolve an intent, that miss does not become a ticket that lands two quarters later. It closes the loop and becomes the next generative experience, shipped in hours. Traditional software grows by adding people. Generative software compounds without them. Time to value goes from 2-3 months to 2-3 minutes. Nobody needs to settle the AGI argument to act on this. The models are already far past what your interface lets users reach. Whoever closes that distance first wins the category, and it will not be decided by which model you picked. What is your click tax costing you right now, in headcount?

Mickey Alon shared thisThe move to AI-Native is the next shape of SaaS, not a feature wave on top of the current one. The software goes from something people operate to something that does the work and gets better at doing it. That happens in four levels. 💠 Level 1, AI that tells. A chatbot on your help docs. It describes the path. It does not walk anyone down it. 💠 Level 2, AI that guides. It opens the right screen and sets up the state. Nobody has to know where to go anymore. They still have to do it. 💠 Level 3, AI that generates. The work happens in the conversation and lands in the product. Not a faster route through the UI, a different route entirely. 💠 Level 4, AI that learns. Every interaction makes the next one better. The interesting line is between 3 and 4. One through three describe how much of the job the software takes on. Four describes whether the system improves. A product can generate all day and learn nothing from any of it. Level 4 also carries a bill that is easy to miss: evaluation. A loop without evals is not a flywheel, it is just getting faster at shipping the wrong answer. Golden sets, shadow runs, outcome matching. Unglamorous, and the only thing that makes the loop point somewhere. Which makes the planning question a structural one. Not which AI features ship this quarter. Which level the product is built for, and what has to change for it to hold the next one. Each level is a different product, not a longer feature list. Mickey Alon shared thisClicks whisper --> Prompts yell Clickstream tells you where users went. It can't tell you what they were trying to do. Every prompt is signal. Unresolved intents write your roadmap.Mickey Alon shared thisLast week we shipped Conversational Analytics. Prompt data shows clearly what users are trying to achieve. Click data only shows where a user went. Every question, request, and complaint a user sends your AI agent is intent, stated in plain language. And most teams let it evaporate. With this release: - Intent driven insights are clear and actionable - Customer voice and sentiment comes naturally - Every interaction makes your product smarter Your team can now tap into real user demand. You can now build a true outcome driven roadmap. See It In Action 👉 https://lnkd.in/gTdvPNF6

Mickey Alon posted this🎉 Two people join Foldspace AI today, and between them they cover the whole go-to-market motion. James Silvestri is leading marketing. Four years at Metadata, by an unusual route: he started in customer success, running paid social and ABM for Metadata's own customers, then moved into marketing leadership. He watched dozens of B2B teams try to build demand before he ran one himself. Matt Shea is leading sales. More than a decade leading enterprise sales at Braze, Gainsight and Simpplr. At Gainsight he ran sales for PX, which is where he and I worked together. PX was in-product engagement and product analytics, the closest thing the last generation had to what we are building now. Software is moving to an agentic interface. The shift from learning complex workflows to prompting outcomes. When the interface changes, everything downstream of it changes with it: how you explain the product, who you sell it to, and what they compare it against. That is not a marketing problem and then a sales problem. It is one problem, and it goes better with people who have sold a category before it had a name. Welcome, James and Matt!

Mickey Alon shared this🎬 This video was not made in a video editor 🎬 We're on a mission to change the way people interact with software We're agentifying products so users can focus on outcomes and not deal with menu diving and complex settings No timeline, no keyframes, no export settings. We wrote what we wanted in plain language and our agentic video maker rendered it: the beats, the motion, the brand system, all from a brief. We have been agentifying our main tools one by one, and the pattern is always the same. The cognitive load of menus and clicks simply never gets paid. You state the intent, the agent executes, and your attention stays on the only question that matters: is the outcome right? That last part is the real shift. Learning a complex tool used to be the price of a professional result. You spent weeks inside the software before the output looked like your idea. Now the expertise moves up a level. You stop operating the tool and start directing the outcome. Taste, judgment and a clear brief beat knowing where every feature lives. Every complex tool goes through this eventually. The interface stops asking you to learn it and starts asking what you want.

A full day of conversations about AI-first SaaS, agent-led onboarding, and what comes next. I had fun learning. And I left with even more questions. 😅 I'm still early in my learning journey with agentic AI. But that's precisely why I want to keep exploring. As a SaaS onboarding growth strategist, I'm interested in how these technologies can help users reach value faster—without losing the human judgment and trust that make an experience meaningful. 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲: 🚀 Being AI-first doesn't automatically mean delighting customers. What matters is addressing the gap between what they expected and what they experienced. 🚀 Agent-led onboarding could shift the educational burden from users to products. The real test? Connecting intent to a useful output—the user's first win in seconds, not hours or days. 🚀 AI amplifies what's already in the product. Deep customer insight still matters. 🚀 Onboarding and activation are moving toward hybrid experiences, as products evolve to serve both humans and AI agents. This shift will influence onboarding strategies and UI design. 🚀 In high-trust environments, transparency and human judgment aren't optional. The technology is evolving quickly. I'm excited to keep learning, experimenting, and figuring out where it can genuinely improve the customer journey. Thank you to Ramli John, Mickey Alon, Gia Laudi, Cleo Lant, Rafiq Sheikh, and everyone who made the event such a delightful learning experience. Mickey Alon liked thisMickey Alon liked thisI think we need to rethink the old IT notion of “build v buy v partner.” A common pitch for “buy” versus “build” was that it’s easy to build an initial internal tool for your company - but think about the maintenance effort. Your engineers will have to work on keeping the system up-to-date, instead of innovating for clients. Indeed, in my time at Gainsight, I remember meeting countless clients who had created their own custom app for Customer Success. A year or two later, the software would inevitably be unused because the customer couldn’t continue to maintain it. So in the pre-AI world, it was: * Moderately hard to build * Very hard to maintain At the risk of saying “this time it’s different,” I think “this time it’s different.” What’s well-documented is that it’s easier to build now. Whether the build is tip-top or pure slop is up to the builder. But it’s easier. What about maintenance? I agree with many posts that it’s still hard - perhaps harder than ever. Your business needs change and you need to adapt the system. And vibe coding creates a lot of cruft over time. Easy to start, hard to run. The question I’m asking myself though is - “do we always need to maintain?” I find the pace of business and AI technology changing so rapidly, that in some ways, we’re starting from scratch every week. We still have the knowledge and expertise, but sometimes it’s easier to just rebuild versus maintain something created based upon old and outdated principles. Does this apply to all systems? No. “Vibe coding” your CRM, ERP or HCM makes no sense for a company of any material size. But for smaller customers or point solutions at larger customer, I think the message needs to change. Vendors still have a huge value, in terms of their knowledge and expertise. But rather than trying to convince a client that maintenance is hard, what if you instead positioned that you will continue building and rebuilding with the client? This is a new form of partnering. If this sounds a bit more like consulting, the honest answer is that successful enterprise apps (whether you talk about FDEs or PS) will look more like a hybrid of consulting and software in the future. The world has changed a lot. I think the vendor pitch needs to follow suit.

Mickey Alon reacted on thisMickey Alon reacted on thisLast week in Berlin, I met with public transport leaders from across DACH at our Customer Roundtable. The topic was the future of local mobility. Today, you can't discuss that future without discussing AI. I planned to share Optibus's AI product vision, a futuristic roadmap charting our journey in this new AI frontier. When we made it, it felt like a far reach. Years of work ahead of us. Reviewing it now, I see how much we've already accomplished. Parts of that "futuristic" vision feel like old news. That's what building with AI looks like now. Capabilities expected years down the line are already here, and what's possible changes by the week. Bringing together enterprise operators, family-owned businesses, public agencies, and the engineers who build our product is an important opportunity to see where technological changes can meet the changes in public transport, from the shift to e-buses to new safety requirements. A special thank you to Alexander Möller of Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (VDV) for opening the evening, to the Optibus team for making it happen, and to our customers for building the future of transport with us.

Mickey Alon liked thisThis was a fun conversation. I got a little confused at the beginning when Rio and Brett asked me what it's like owning race horses (I don't). But we quickly figured out the confusion and got down to business talking about the role of proprietary data in getting non-commodity results from otherwise commodity AI tools, how brands can protect themselves in the coming world of 1000x content, and what it will take to win when consumer attention evolves to make unremarkable content essentially invisble. Thanks to Signal & Noise for having me on the show to discuss Vidmob. I really enjoyed the discussion.Mickey Alon liked thisOne of the biggest mistakes in the current AI conversation is assuming that more content = better advertising. News flash: it doesn’t. Our latest episode of Signal & Noise just dropped, and it’s a great conversation with Alex Collmer, Founder & Executive Chairman of Vidmob, about what happens when the cost of producing content starts approaching zero. Alex makes a compelling case that as AI automates production, creative intelligence actually becomes more important - not less. We get into: • Why creative may be the most under-instrumented variable in advertising • Why generative AI is a production breakthrough, but not necessarily a creativity breakthrough • How creative data can become a strategic asset for brands • The risk that constant optimization makes every brand start to look the same • Why the most valuable human skills may increasingly be taste, judgment and storytelling • What happens when creative intelligence moves directly into agents, media platforms and production workflows One of our favorite ideas from the conversation: if everyone has access to the same models, the model itself isn’t the competitive advantage. The intelligence you bring to it is. 🎙️ When Content Becomes Infinite: Alex Collmer on Creative Intelligence in the AI Advertising Era https://lnkd.in/gfHAaHwr #Advertising #AdTech #Creative #CreativeIntelligence #GenerativeAI #Marketing #AI #VidMob #SignalAndNoise

🚀 Why owning the right domains is a game-changer for AI-PCs Just like Janover (formerly Nasdaq: JNVR) Ventures leveraged descriptive domains to dominate commercial real estate SEO and drive massive growth, AIPC.computer + Hardware.computer + Software.computer + Datacenter.computer is designed to own the AI-PC narrative online. 📊 The impact: Exact-match domains = immediate credibility and search dominance. Control over keywords, marketplace visibility, and SERPs. Strategic positioning for OEMs, VCs, and tech brands in a $2.5T AI-PC market. 💡 Why it matters: Microsoft, Lenovo, HP and other OEMs are already evaluating partnerships. The right domain isn’t just a name — it’s digital real estate that drives influence, traffic, and revenue. Think of it like Amazon, owning Shop.computer, AWS.computer, Amazon.computer, Apple Mac.computer, Dell Technologies Dell.computer, Huawei Huawei.computer except here it’s the entire AI-PC ecosystem online. First movers will capture the market — others will play catch-up. #AI #PCs #Marketplace #DigitalRealEstate #SEO #OEM #TechStrategy
