It’s the foundation for the modern enterprise. Today, I discussed Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience - exploring how agentic is redefining the future of experiences. We aren't just talking about a better UI, we’re talking about a fundamental rewrite of how brands interact with the world: where multi-modal, contexutal, and seamless interactions are the standard. Take Macy’s, for example. They just launched "Ask Macy’s," an AI agent powered by Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience. It’s a game-changer. Instead of just clicking through passive navigation, customers get a natural, conversational guide that helps them throughout their entire shopping journey. At Google Cloud, we’ve partnered with Google DeepMind, to build an AI tool that turns split-second, complex aerial maneuvers into precise, actionable data. 🏂 ⛷️ U.S. Ski & Snowboard advised on the tool and prototyped it leading into the Olympic Winter Games. By combining one of Google DeepMind advanced computer vision models and Gemini, we're helping athletes analyze their performance faster than a ski lift ride back to the top. We're moving past "gut feelings" and using actual data to track things like speed, how much air they get, and exactly how their bodies move in 3D. But for me, the real excitement is what this means for the future. If we can crack the code on the biomechanics of a high-speed snowboarding trick, we can apply those same insights to transform robotics, healthcare, and manufacturing safety. Accounting for just 15% of the workforce, these individuals are fast-tracking their careers. They are 84% more likely to have been promoted in the past year, 88% more likely to achieve positive performance reviews, and are saving almost 8 hours a week. The remaining 85% are not held back by a lack of technical coding skills. Instead, they are facing specific behavioural, cognitive, and organisational barriers. The research reveals that these hurdles are entirely addressable. It was a privilege to sit down with an exceptional group of female leaders for a such candid conversation about how we drive impact from the c-suite. We covered the courage it takes to raise your hand for the next big opportunity, as well as the superpowers that female leaders bring to every room. Every woman on the panel has had a very different path, and what struck me is that so many of our careers are jungle gyms, not ladders. A huge thank you to Ndidiamaka Oteh for hosting us and to my fellow panelists Alexa Vignone, Conny Kalcher, May Habib, and Sarah Maziad Altuwaijri. I loved this quote from Conny, “Sometimes, we think we need to know everything before we can say yes. It was an absolute pleasure hosting our partner Otto Group at our Google Headquarters. In a joint press roundtable, we shared how our strategic AI partnership is driving growth and improving the customer experience across the Otto Group's diverse business units. What I deciphered from our discussions this week is that the real breakthroughs happen when you treat AI as an organizational mindset rather than a tech project. By integrating #GoogleAI, including our latest #Gemini models, they are turning inspiration into seamless customer journeys: ✨ OTTO - Their new voice-enabled AI assistant is showing us a fundamental shift in customer behavior. While text search usually ends after two turns, voice interactions are averaging 11 turns per session, driving a 37% increase in average order value. It turns online shopping into a genuine dialogue. ✨ bonprix is redefining the entire product lifecycle from trend discovery to design with their AI-driven "VestiFlow". As Katrin Behrens, CEO of Otto Group one.O, noted in our discussion, adding a tool on top of old processes changes nothing. They are uniting design, engineering, and process redesign so trend signals flow uninterrupted from discovery to product design. ✨ Crate & Barrel have launched a conversational AI Shopping Agent, translating their signature store hospitality and curation into a highly personalized digital experience. It's clear this isn't a collection of isolated pilots, but a group-wide effort to securely scale capabilities across 42 million customers worldwide. And the innovation doesn't stop with the backend and customer service. In fact, OTTO, bonprix, and Witt-Gruppe (member of the otto group) are really leaning into Marketing & brand experience with various AI-powered advertising formats. These formats are already driving higher conversion rates and successfully accelerating new customer acquisition goals. 🚀 Thank you to Petra Scharner-Wolff, Katrin Behrens, Amy Eschliman and the entire Otto Group delegation for the inspiring discussions. Agentic Commerce is no longer simply "coming", it is here. Today Google rolls out Universal Commerce Protocol, last week Microsoft announced Copilot checkout, and of course OpenAI and Stripe led the way with Agentic Commerce Protocol in October. The brands are lining up to integrate, but customer behavior will lag until Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Perplexity can prove that agentic experiences save time and money, and make the broken ecommerce journey that we all have been conditioned to accept 10X better. I believe they will. We are in the early integration phase where we will see some interesting early adopter applications. By Black Friday 2026 we will see a big push by Google in AI Mode and Search, and a subsequent very rapid user adoption. OpenAI will follow suit but will play second fiddle to Google's 50 billion SKU shopping graph.

This is powered by our Shopping agent (complex reasoning, multimodal inputs, consented actions) and Customer Experience Agent Studio, which lets businesses build, test, and deploy personalized multimodal agents at scale. By connecting these agents directly, every interaction stays grounded in historical context—whether a customer is ordering a pizza or choosing a compatible kitchen range. From a UX perspective, what excites me most is not just what these agents can do—but how they do it: transparent, consent-driven experiences that earn trust one interaction at a time.
