Enshalla Anderson shared thisIn the height of the pandemic in 2020, I made the decision to make a career change: departing agencyland and moving clientside to Google Cloud. I joined the company on a screen and met colleagues in the Brady bunch styled tiles of video calls. But this week this new chapter became real. I went to campus and met colleagues, had IRL coffee chats, discussed ideas using real whiteboards, and just experienced what IRL really means - community and human connection. So happy to be a Googler! #google

It’s a fun look at how modern productivity tools can help today's teams declare independence from busywork and focus on what truly matters. Enshalla Anderson liked thisEnshalla Anderson liked thisThis week, I turned in my badge after 8 years at The New York Times. Here, I learned to listen to my own voice and trust my own talent, even in rooms that would have me questioning it. I understood the power of a worthy mission. I worked with some of the smartest, loveliest people and created work I'll be forever proud of. I'm endlessly grateful for the experience, and will miss my small but mighty team most of all. That said, when it's time, it's time. A new season awaits. My next step is one I've been excitedly working towards – independent brand & strategy consulting. I'm eager to work with senior leaders and brands with something real to say on challenges that sit at the intersection of brand and business. If you're a leader looking for fractional strategic leadership or a senior thought partner, I'd love to hear from you. More to come soon!

Enshalla Anderson liked thisEnshalla Anderson liked thisYesterday was an incredible evening celebrating the close of Black Music Month with the Black Googler Network (BGN) Marketing community! 🎶✨ Yesterday, I had the honor of hosting a fireside chat with my friend, the legendary Bobby Carter, host and series producer for NPR’s iconic Tiny Desk. We dove deep into cultural storytelling, representation, and the incredible journey behind a musical phenomenon that has driven over 4.5 billion lifetime views, 3,000 performances, and 12.7 million subscribers on YouTube. We talked about the power of stripping away heavy production to amplify raw, authentic talent across neo-soul, modern Afrobeats, golden-era hip-hop, and gospel. We also highlighted how YouTube has served as a transformative home for the series, cementing its place in contemporary music history. 👏 A massive thank you to Bobby for sharing his creative trajectory and bringing the energy with an unforgettable live DJ set to close out the night. And a huge shoutout to the entire BGN team (ryon (rai) henderson, Maryam Ikuforiji, Akash Tharani, Enshalla Anderson) for bringing together an amazing experience at the Google Pier 57 office in NYC! #BlackMusicMonth #TinyDesk #LifeAtGoogle

Enshalla Anderson liked thisEnshalla Anderson liked thisEvery community deserves a healthcare workforce built for the people it serves—trained there, employed there and ready to deliver care from day one. Too often, what stands in the way isn't a lack of people who want to do this work—it's the absence of a structured pathway to get there. Today, Covista, America’s largest healthcare educator, and Advocate Health, the nation's third-largest nonprofit health system, are taking a real step toward that, launching a strategic nursing collaboration delivered through Chamberlain University. The program combines scholarship support and clinical immersion inside Advocate Health facilities with a direct pathway to employment and financial support for loans during employment. All purpose-built around the communities Advocate Health serves. Grateful to Betty Jo Rocchio and the Advocate Health team for the conviction they brought to this effort and to the Covista and Chamberlain teams for building something that can meet the scale of what a collaboration like this requires. When a health system invests in building a workforce—combining shared commitment, resources and hands-on training—we create something sustainable that neither side could achieve independently. Many health systems are competing for the same limited pool of talent. This one is choosing to build it—creating a pipeline of practice-ready nurses prepared for the communities they'll serve. That's what we're building together. And we're just getting started. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g_uTsDUW

Enshalla Anderson reacted on thisEnshalla Anderson reacted on thisOver the past week, I’ve been asked a simple question several times: “How was Cannes?” It turned out to be much harder to answer than I expected. I could have talked about the sessions, the speakers, or the Institute for Real Growth’s #IRG100. Instead, I found myself thinking about the moments in between. A bicycle ride to Saint-Paul de Vence after years away from a bike. A tiny handheld fan my sister tucked into my suitcase that somehow became everyone’s fan during one of the hottest weeks in France’s history. Conversations with marketers from around the world that reminded me why I fell in love with this profession in the first place. Somewhere along the way, I came home more curious than when I left. I wrote about that journey in my latest essay. I’d love to know what experience has renewed your curiosity lately. https://lnkd.in/eKfyXy82

✅🖥️ Variety (7/24): “According to PwC, the free, ad-supported television (FAST) subcategory in the U.S. is set to grow faster than OTT overall. After generating nearly $4.9 billion in revenue in 2024, FAST services are projected to increase at a 13.8% CAGR over the next five years to reach $9. billion in 2029. Leaders in the FAST space are Paramount’s Pluto TV, Fox Corp.’s Tubi, the Roku Channel and offerings from smart TV makers like Samsung TV Plus, per PwC’s report. “As major media companies recognize the value in ad-supported models, investments in content and technology are likely to increase, enhancing the quality and appeal of FAST services,” PwC said in the report. “FAST channels appeal to cost-conscious consumers amid rising subscription fees. Traditional TV, meanwhile, has been losing ground steadily to streaming alternatives. In 2024, total U.S. revenue from linear TV advertising and pay-TV subscriptions reached $126.1 billion — a significant 14% decline from $146.9 billion in 2020, per PwC’s estimates. The sector is projected to see a decrease of -5.4% CAGR through to 2029, which marks “one of the most pronounced declines among its global peers, highlighting the rapid pace of disruption in the U.S.,” according to the report.” ⬇️ #streaming #ctv #fast #avod #svod #tvos #ott https://lnkd.in/e4nV_Fjy

Today Omnicom Group reports its first earnings since acquiring IPG. CMO's shouldn't care. Wall Street's financial view diverges from marketer's customer growth view. Look no further than Wall Street reaction to Publicis' strong earnings or Dentsu's stalled talks with PE. A fixation on the financial concerns of agencies distracts from the value they produce for marketers and brands. Our advice, brush off the earnings hyperbole and focus on the structural improvements needed to create and deliver brand value. This blog post explores how CMOs can do so with the new Omnicom Group. #forrester #cmos #aimarketing Mike Proulx Keith Johnston Emily Collins https://lnkd.in/eTk8XX63

I had a great time chatting with Kendra Barnett from ADWEEK and Peter Giordano from DoorDash about the state of the industry as we enter 2026 at CES last week. We discussed how critical transparent, meaningful partnerships can create enormous value for brands as they try to reach their consumers across the entire consumer journey. My biggest piece of advice for brands as we begin the year is to be intentional. The winners in the year ahead will be able to clearly articulate who they are reaching, where they are reaching them, and what outcomes they are generating. If any of this isn't considered or worse yet, obscured, we need to take a giant step back and consider what is going unsaid.
